It’s a very cute pair of scissors. There are magnets of one side so you can stick it on...your fridge if it’s not a Subzero. But that’s ok, I just put it in a drawer...where other metal things will stick to it. Also, not a problem, you just pluck them off. The blue “eye” can off at the very first use, also not a problem, I just glued it back on with stronger glue.I love the “toucan” design. I believe Kikkerland (land of frogs - a nickname for the Netherlands), is a Dutch company. I love the name and the products, original with a sense of humour. Can’t have enough of that these days.

Only drawback is that it is weighted to hang vertically, and I'd prefer it to hang horizontally. Not a big deal. Really sharp - blades and look!

I love these shears!!!! Not only are they decorative when sheathed, but the fact that they have an attached magnet makes it very accessible and ready to use. I have my shears on my refrigerator and they look bright and whimsical. They are very strong and sturdy with a sharp serrated edge. These would make a terrific gift as well!

Awesome product. The shears work great, yhey look charming and cute and are fun. My fav the about them is that the gaurd is also magnetic so instead of piling more stuff in my drawer I have easy access to them on the fridge. Totally worth buy for yourself and they make great gifts.

I love these scissors! I love how they can attach to the side of my fridge because of the magnet. The cover is nice to keep it clean. I will say the “eye” of the toucan pops off if the cover is all the way on. Still super cute!

These would be ordinary kitchen shears--shorter, tougher, more versatile--than ordinary scissors if it wasn't for the beautiful and colorful toucan design.I didn't purchase them for myself or even for the person I'm giving them to to use as kitchen scissors. It is part of a coordinated gift in which I'm gifting a flower vase, marbles, and these scissors as a "flower arrangement" set. None of the flower cutters I could find made for an attractive and coordinated set, so I opted for these scissors which--by the way--are as gorgeous as they look in the picture.Since I didn't open the blister package, I can't attest as to the sharpness or other attributes, but they do look well made and finished and look as sharp and are as heavy as my best pair of kitchen scissors.

This is an updated review—I am very sad. While what is below, the original review still holds utility-wise and they are still super useful, their utility uncompromised, decoratively, after some months the colors smudged and bled and the blue piece popped off and I didn’t have success gluing it back on. ADVICE: if one gets a new set, put clear nail polish or spray with an acrylic finishing spray (if you have it on hand) to protect colors. Aesthetics affect me. And compromising these makes me sad.The design is fun, but the strong magnets on it to hang on your refrigerator mean you put it in a convenient spot to have the scissors on hand — the case is useful, not just decorative. The scissors cuts well, is a good size. Great purchase.

I bought them to keep in the drawer in the kitchen. They are adorable and work great - very sharp and sturdy. More of the size of kitchen shears than regular paper scissors, and one blade has a bottle opener cut into it. The actual toucan beak design is on the blade cover, so you don’t have to worry about the design wearing off from use. Definitely would buy again!
