Very Important Author
This is more than just a biography about David Ferrie. Author Judyth Baker's goal is to tell the truth about Lee Oswald's motives and involvement in the JFK assassination. Ferrie is an integral part of the story though.Judyth provides her understanding of the assassination as she perceived it while living in New Orleans. New Orleans District Attorney and American hero Jim Garrison felt the assassination plans were born in New Orleans. People now realize that Jim Garrison was right about a lot of things. The book goes even beyond Ferrie and Oswald and provides very important and up-to-date information about the assassination from many different angles.I can't think of too many people whose lives turned out more differently than they expected than Judyth Baker's did. This all happened between April and November of 1963.What Judyth Thought Was Going To Happen:chosen by world renowned physician Dr. Alton Ochsner to move to New Orleanswork with famous cancer expert Dr. Mary Shermanattend Tulane Medical School for freebecome a doctor and find a cure for cancerWhat Really Did Happen:finds out Ochsner is some sort of anti Cuba right wing fanatictold to work with lunatic David Ferrie to develop a super aggressive form of cancer to kill Fidel Castrofell in love with Lee Oswald who she finds out is a CIA operative working with secret anti Castro army groupsJFK shotsoul mate Lee Oswald arrested and charged with murdering the president of the United StatesLee shot dead on national televisionJudyth could probably never have imagined that the entire world would cling to and scrutinize her every word when she finally revealed exactly what went on during those few short months. Everything she and her companions did and discussed together is now of major importance to many people today. The entire cancer bioweapon scenario is like a conspiracy within a conspiracy including the horrific and highly suspicious death of Dr. Mary Sherman. I was hoping Judyth would say more about this subject. I highly recommend the book "Dr. Mary's Monkey" to follow up with this strange story. There are many people in this book who were acting one way in their public life but secretly they had very different beliefs and motives. Ferrie made very public statements about how he felt JFK should be shot. Oswald was presented to the public as a pro Castro communist. But they both had ulterior motives for behaving this way.Unfortunately for Oswald however was his handlers had their own ulterior motives. I would say the problem for Oswald in particular is he greatly underestimated the sheer ruthlessness of the people he thought he was working for. Jack Ruby knew Lee Oswald and Oswald's family since Lee was a kid. But the word 'friend' doesn't mean the same thing to people in the mafia as it does to normal people.Judyth worked with Oswald, Ferrie, and Dr. Sherman on a regular basis. All three of those people seemed to have very accurate knowledge about what might happen to JFK. Oswald and Ferrie understood how the cloak and dagger world of espionage and dirty tricks worked. Dr. Sherman predicted that if they were not successful in creating the cancer bioweapon to assassinate Fidel Castro JFK would be killed instead and Lyndon Johnson would become president. This is the way all these people perceived what was going on based on their perspective in New Orleans. But as Judyth points out the anti Castro forces in the United States, the South Vietnamese army, and many other groups all over the world were only pawns in a much bigger game. The real driving force for the assassination was high up in the government with Lyndon Johnson, Allen Dulles of the CIA (before JFK fired him), FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, and people like Texas oil billionaire Clint Murchison. Taken collectively those types of people and groups represent what president Dwight Eisenhower so prophetically called The Military Industrial Complex. Here's an interesting quote by Lee Oswald from the book:"You know how we wondered who my handler was ? Mr. B. ? Benson, or Benton, or Bishop ? Well...he's from Forth Worth. It has to be Phillips. Phillips is the traitor. Phillips is behind this. I want you to remember that name. David Atlee Phillips."There were two other names Lee Oswald told Judyth never to forget which was Billy Sol Estes and Bobby Baker. He said the assassination itself was not their doing, but it was because of them. I don't know anything about Phillips but Billy Sol Estes and Bobby Baker have been linked to Lyndon Johnson going back to his days as a corrupt and murderous Texas senator. The Italian mafia was also right in the middle of all this. I agree with the following statement by Judyth:"The passion to murder Castro had created a coalition between the Mafia and the CIA. and Lee stood with a foot in both of their houses. Ironically, David Ferrie was now in the same position..."We can switch the word 'Castro' to 'JFK' in the above quote very easily. In fact until I just went back and looked up this statement in the book I thought it did say JFK.Judyth tells how Lee Oswald thought he was part of an abort team that was trying to prevent the assassination in Dallas. But then at other times Oswald said he was pretending he was going to participate in the assassination so that would be one less real gun pointed at JFK. That part of the book isn't totally clear to me.Lee Oswald may have alerted the FBI to an earlier plan to assassinate JFK in Chicago and this may have prevented JFK from being killed there. Judyth suggests that possibly Lee tried to do the same thing for Dallas but the FBI ignored his warning. The question is, if Oswald did try to warn them in Dallas, did they ignore the warning accidentally or on purpose. There's quite a bit of information in this and other books which indicates that Lyndon Johnson and others knew in advance that JFK was going to be assassinated. The assassination was not a random act.Something I found troubling is the Dallas police radios stopped working for about 4 minutes right when the assassination occurred. The Secret Service's communications aboard Air Force 1 also went dead. This reminds us of what the goal really was that day. They wanted JFK dead and were doing everything to ensure that confusion and chaos occurred.I would say David Ferrie's death is suspicious. Anyone who could create a link between the JFK assassination and the individuals and groups who were really responsible 'was not a good insurance risk' as Jim Garrison put it. The CIA has vast resources at their disposal such as scientists, doctors, and entire universities to devise so many ways to destroy people. The forward of the book which was written by Jesse Ventura is tremendous. Jesse says the forces Judyth has dared to stand up against are more frightening than anything he ever encountered as a Navy Seal. Judyth has perhaps dared to defy that great, lying beast and multi headed hydra described in the bible in the Book Of Revelation.I agree with Kris Millegan from Trine Day publishers who says in the publisher's forward that Judyth is a unique author. Like Fletcher Prouty and Roger Stone she really lived all this.JFK: The CIA, Vietnam, and the Plot to Assassinate John F. Having read Ms. Baker's previous book, "Me & Lee", I was very intrigued to read her latest book, "David Ferrie". Ferrie is a fascinating as well as anomalous character in the JFK Assassination dichotomy. Is he guilty or is he somewhat of a patriotic anomaly to history that was prevalent during those Cold War years? Ms. Baker weaves a captivating autobiography of a survivor to tell the courageous tale for those who cannot. Her writing style is succint and yet so detailed at the same time, one cannot but help be drawn into her words. She is one of the most important undocumented historians of the last Century. Reason being, most everyone who spoke up and even second-guessed the findings of Warren Commission wound up DOA. Is that America? No. Is that America during the 60's/Cold War paranoia? Definitely. The old saying was "Better dead than Red." and it seems that the intelligence community took this to heart. Doubt me? Just read the thousands of pages of CIA documents and FBI memos that were released due to the FOI Act and the JFK Records disclosure of 1992 in response the Oliver Stone film, "JFK" that now suggest OTHERWISE. If one reads just an iota of declassified information, then one would begin to doubt the government findings of 1963. The HSCA Hearings of the assassination even CONCLUDED that there was a "probable" assassination conspiracy despite the CIA still conspiring to withhold evidence from a shot from in front. The HSCA went much further than the Warren Commission, which was an obvious attempt at an original (not in my backyard "banana republic") CIA-type of government coverup. (The CIA were professionals in coups and assassinations by 1963.) AGAIN, the so-called circumstantial evidence gathered on Oswald would not have gotten him convicted. Doubt it? Read up on it. People who were there and disagreed, wound up dead. Judyth Baker is an important eyewitness to history and it is simply amazing that with the open-minded media we have now with CNN and whatever, that this is not a major issue. We are done with our parent's/grandparent's lies. In the end, according to to due process of United States law, Lee Harvey Oswald, or, Lee Oswald, as he preferred to be called, was as Jim Garrison said, "made a villian who was probably a hero".

Judy Vary Baker is amazing. Her first book
Judy Vary Baker is amazing. Her first book, Me and Lee, should be reviewed by every media outlet on the planet- but of course the powers that be will prevent that from happening. This book is great just because Judy wrote it. David Ferrie is an absolutely fascinating character. Together these books bring reality to American history.
