Very good product and the price is VERY much discounted. Works perfectly each time. Measure the paint within a door jam to get a paint reading with very little clear coat then measure exterior paint and compare the difference. That is the amount of clear coat left. Find areas with thin and thick clear coat.

Seems like a great working tool, I can't get my tool to actually calibrate to a consistent number... Mine may be a lemon, either way it looks good, is probably accurate but definitely not something I would base wet sanding on ... Maybe something as a general guideline.... I will do more research about calibrating it on youtube and update my review if I get better directions then what comes standard in the package.

Excellent paint meter, reads in microns, just like much more expensive welcome tees but for a fraction of the cost, and it’s smaller, a must for anyone in the car buisness.
