Bangalore Days

Bangalore Days is one of those movies which would remind you of your teenage days and would generate that wild impulse which may prompt you to throw all caution to the winds and make a wild dash to the city of dreams called Bangalore.Three cousins land up at Bangalore and experience love, joy, heartbreak and redemption while living their well entangled lives in the city. Newly wed Divya (Nazriya Nazim) has to win her hubby’s (Faahad Faasil) heart though he is supposedly still in love with his old flame. Drifter Arjun (Dulqer Salman), an Army Officer’s estranged son finds his calling among cars and bike racing, his attitude changes when he meets a paraplegic RJ called Sarah (Parvathi Menon) who holds a viewpoint towards life way different from his own. Kuttan (Nivin Pauly) who works for an IT company would prefer a traditional Keralite girl possessing deep rooted family values and ends up finding just the opposite after a brief affair which ends in disaster (atleast for him). Kuttan’s mother’s façade about leaving the rustic village with an intention to enjoy the charms of city life provides some comic relief though I found it to be more annoying than amusing since it didn’t gel with the theme of the movie.All the three lead actors do justice to their roles and you would root for each one of them. Nazriya is a natural actress and her efforts to heal the old emotional wounds of her hubby raises the bar of this movie. I found Dulquer and Parvathi’s friendship cum romance to be a deep-rooted object lesson in “finding someone who completes you”. The lovely and melodious song “Ethu Kari Raavilum” sums up the whole essence of the movie in a few stanzas.All in all, Bangalore Days is a feel-good movie with its base firmly rooted in themes of true friendship and pure love, the values, which on a personal level, I hold and cherish the most. As I mentioned at the beginning, for the moment, let me just pack my bags and move to the city of dreams called Bangalore!!!P.S – I don’t understand a word of Malayalam (except the customary 1 to 10 counting). I watched this movie with subtitles. It may sound crazy but the song “Ethu Kari Raavilum” prompted made me to buy this DVD on Amazon!!!

a great family movie that is an instant classic. great movie for this generation and for all age groups! superb acting by the trio, and the others as well.. great direction, and the highlight on human realtionships, communication, in all their glorious complexity is a treat to watch...watch it! :) must have for your home collection..

Though it is a 7.1 audio mix, there are parts of the movie with missing/incomplete audio tracks. The song towards the end of the movie has no music on it but just the lyrics. This was one of my most wished for blu-rays this year and it is a total disappointment.The 2 stars is for the video quality. It is good, but a little soft when compared to any other blu-ray out there. Having shot the movie on a RED epic I expected a much better transfer to blu-ray.Updated: I had a replacement ordered, and the sound is now perfectly fine across the entire movie. Also, outstanding customer service from the seller Aum Entertainment. 5 Stars for the seller, and 4 stars for the Blu-Ray.

The DVD is not working properly. It is getting strucked after 1 hour play and unable to play further. Waste of Money. Will you replace a new DVD?

Excellent quality. There is no audio track missing in the bluray like others said. Sound quality can be better though.
