I needed something to hold microphone at desk for dictating that would leave my hands free to type or answer phone. Got tired of stacking it up on books or my Hydroflask, only to have it fall off. This definitely holds it securely and I was able to come up with a configuration that wouldn't tip over. I like that I can simply move it out of the way if not needed. OR clamp holds it securely to desk. I found that got in way some. OR I clamped it to the back of monitor and that worked well. Would definitely order this again and highly recommend product based on the quality. Rated a 4 star only because it is difficult to get it exactly where you want it - I may be a little OCD!

This thing is a bit wonky. I went for it because it had a clamp that can be used to hold the device over bed. But no amount of wrangling was able to convince it to lift my device off my forehead. Overall there isn't anything this thing can do beyond what my kickstand is already doing. But the problem is, despite advertising, it cannot support a device well. Meh. I'll probably find another use for it or throw it away.

As a parent to a 3-year old daughter and husband to a reality TV junkie, I often find myself in a room with either a Real Housewives marathon on TV or the DVD of Frozen on a continuous loop. As such, I usually end up retreating into my own world of online video streaming through the wonders of the 6-inch screen on my iPhone. A common issue that I have had with this is that it can get tiresome to hold my device up to eye level for any length of time, and if I have it in my lap, then this can create painful stress on my neck. Which is where this wonderful device comes in handy. It's flexible design allows me to fashion it around the back of my neck and position it up to where it is eye-level. My hands are free, and it is surprisingly sturdy enough to remain still. I also travel quite a bit, and I use this in the same way when on flights. I am constantly asked where I got this remarkable invention, and as far as know, Amazon is the only place to find it. This also makes a great stand to hold up the phone, which is perfect when you want to watch something while doing the dishes, or for the kids at a restaurant in order to keep them distracted with something to watch so you and your wife can have some God-forsaken peace and quiet while they eat their meal. All in all - a wonderful product with many uses. Well worth the price!!

This product works well and is really a cool idea, but you have to be totally staionary in order for it not to move. In other words, I took it on a long flight and couldn't use it at all even when the flight was super smooth, as any movement whatsoever made the phone or ipod bounce around too much to watch with any kind of enjoyment. I just ended up holding my device in my hand. :/

I have tried every iPhone gooseneck holder on Amazon - I'm kind of addicted. Some are ok, but most of them are disappointing in one way or another. The Geekx stand is legitimately first one that actually allows me to hang my phone off my neck so that the screen is closer to my face for video watching or reading and my hands are free. Because I have a thick neck my concern was that the gooseneck would be too short and the phone would end up uncomfortably close to my face --Instead it works flawlessly. The whole thing is very easy to adjust. The bad reviews seem to be from people who either don't understand gravity or didn't read the instructions. Yes the heavier the phone the more it will need to be coiled to distribute the weight of the phone, but if you ha e a third grade education you should have no problem with this stand. I'm not really a big reviewer unless a product is really bad or the customer service is terrible - it takes a unique product to get me to write a good review because I figure most people think good reviews are fake or paid for so I don't bother, but because I have never found another device like this one that works this well I thought I'd leave a review for people looking to use this the same way I am - around the neck. It really is a well made product and it works great. Not a single reaso to complain so 5 stars it is!

This stand is OK. Honestly, it's almost too rigid. I felt like it took me 10 minutes to get it "just right". I'm in a long-distance relationship, so we do a lot of video chats. I was hoping this would give me a better hands-free experience for when I'm in the kitchen or just when I'm relaxing and don't want to hold the phone. It's just too hard to manipulate the arm into the correct position. I also found the clamp part that you can use to attach it to something is not very sturdy. I had it attached to my night stand and it kept falling off. The clip that holds your phone is very secure and can rotate around. If you need this for watching movies on your phone and you don't plan on moving around, it would work well.

I really loved this product. I don't use the mount, as it didn't fit my headboard and wasn't useful when I could get it to work (any bed movement made the phone move way too much). But I had no problem using this product coiled up and just laying it beside me. I can raise, lower and rotate my phone however I need it. It worked great. However - the clip that holds my phone just broke after only 4 months. The description says there is a one year warranty - so hopefully the seller will make it right. If they do - I will change from 3 stars to 5.**UPDATED: I emailed the seller and they got back to me very quickly - sent me a new product and I had it in 2 days. Great customer service! Changed to 5 stars.**UPDATE AGAIN: This time it’s lasted 6 months before the clip broke. I was actually coming back to buy another to replace it, since they’ve already replaced it once - and I really love the product. But now it’s out of stock! Guess I’ll have to find something else to replace it this time. Hopefully something that will last longer.
