Holistic SelectNatural Dry Dog Food, Chicken Meal & Rice Recipe, 30-Pound Bag

After extensive research to find the best quality and good tasting dog food to feed my 2 year old aussie, I finally came across and decided to go with Holistic Select Chicken & Rice dry food. I went with the 6lb bag just in case my dog didn't like it. He used to be fed Purina One beyond which had always worked well for us until him and our 2 cats (also fed one beyond) starting vomiting up their food for 2 weeks. My aussie also isn't too big on eating, sometimes he will only eat if we are watching him. Usually at the end of day there will still be food left in his bowl but with this brand he eats it all in one sitting! he loves it! thinking about switching the cats over to this brand as well! :)

A year ago I adopted a Siberian Husky from a shelter the next state over. The shelter was a Husky specific half way house with probably 12-24 huskies. They recommended and used this food. I've never had any problems with it and my husky seems to like it. She doesn't have any digestive problems and isn't very food motivated. But she is definitely motivated by this food. The fact that it is made of natural ingredients and not "by-product" "Made in China" crap is a big deal to me.I give my 45lbs female husky half a cup twice a day, and it "maintains" her weight and gives her enough energy to go on our long walks and hour long visits to the dog park. I could not be happier with this stuff. I'm glad it was recommended to me by the shelter.

I think their machine is running out of glue

my pugs love it, we have it on auto order from amazon, so they dont run out. of course its cheaper here and free shipping. plus my local petstore stopped selling it, thats how we started buying from amazon in first place. healthy, all natural, and makes great coats for our dogs. dont get unhealthy crap with animal byproduct additives. eewww. when they were pups we had a bowl of this and a bowl of the crap dog food, purina or something like it, and they all went to this bowl, they can smell the difference, all that good protein. yum

I vary my dog's food every bag and notice a significant difference in energy levels, stool consistency, and shedding and dander. My dog is also a picky eater so taste plays a role as well. I researched for the healthiest, least filler type food. I live in the Washington, DC area where there are lots of police K-9 dog owners. They recommend the Holistic. It turns out that you can serve much less for the same amount of nutrition as all the other popular brands so 30lb. goes for two months for my 45 lb dog! I keep ordering online from Amazon and my ordering records show an order every two months. Shows up in two days delivered! The veterinarian always comments on my dog's healthy coat and leanness. I only wish it could be on the subscription feature so that it would automatically be ordered and worry free, but there are more important things in life to worry about, right!?

My son's best friend graduated from Univ of GA vet school and said this is the best rated dog food out there. Not cheap but less expensive than whole fresh ingredient products, (I have a farm and 4 dogs),available now and has Pre & Pro biotics! No GI problems and their coats shine!

The bag had a hole in it, and there was kibble all over the box so not sure how fresh it is for my pet very upsetting for the amount of money that I spent
