Worked great on my N18 - Would recommend.
Worked great on my 2012 N18. I did have to sand the crankshaft pin tool. It was slightly too large in diameter. Otherwise all was well.

Don't know if I would recommend
This tool did the job I purchased it for. The Mini Cooper is running fine. However, next time, I would probably spend the extra money for a tool I can trust a little more. The first section of the tool that secures the exhaust camshaft fit fine on both sides to sit flat on the engine block. However, when I put the second part on to secure the intake camshaft, the thread screws did not line up properly where the two pieces are joined together. The exhaust side had to be propped up to allow the bolt to go in, leaving a 2-3mm gap between the bottom of the tool and the engine block. I do not believe there is supposed to be any gap and was worried it may affect the timing. However, as I said, the car seems to be running fine. I wish I had a high quality tool to compare it with.

Listing incorrect - Does not fit 2011 N16 Mini Cooper!!
Product quality and machining was adequate. Cam locks fit lobes on both cams. However bolt holes did not line up for a mini cooper 2011 R55 N16 engine. Mounting points are off by more than an inch on both Exhaust and Intake Sides of head. Description is inaccurate. Does not fit N16 engine. Why buy a tool that you have to adapt to make fit. If you buy be ready to alter it. Otherwise buy another for a N16 engine. Don’t waste time $ or risk your engine
