Product description Review: 1,000uF 50V meet low ESR spec of less than 32 milliohms specified - These capacitors are made by Rubycon, one of the better known capacitor manufacturers that have been around for many years. I tested all eight and the results are as follows: 898uF 26m ohms, 894 24, 899 24, 913 21, 910 23, 909 25, 902 25 894 23. These all average about 900uF or 10% below rated value which is typical for power supply capacitors that can be as high as 20%. The ESR was less than 25 milliohms which is quite good for a bypass capacitor in inverters and power supplies. ESR is lower than the stated specification of 32 milliohms. ESR was measured at 1KHZ. This manufacturer makes good consumer grade capacitors which are reliable for most applications. I feel confident in using this capacitor. Review: Rubycon caps at an excellent price - I’d not looked closely at the product deals, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find the caps I received are Rubycon branded (one of the gold standard Japanese brands) from the YXJ series. I tested three of them and all measured ~912uF, which is well within the ±20% claimed on Rubycon’s spec sheet. I’ve included photos of the top lead score pattern and the base—which are both consistent with genuine Rubycon parts. The price is excellent (at the time of this review, eight for $9) and they come in a nice plastic storage box.
