21 Inch Vintage Leather Duffel Travel Gym Sports Overnight Weekend Duffle Bags for men and women

I bought a few different bags for comparison before choosing a keeper. This was quite good, but I wound up keeping a different one because it was comparable quality, but cheaper.Reviews of all the bags (in no particular order):- A Jaald Store 24" Genuine Leather Mens Duffel Gym Sports Travel Weekend Carry on Luggage BagI'm honestly amazed at the positive reviews. I bought 5 similar leather overnight bags for comparison, and this one was by far the worst. It looked cheap, the material was stiff, and it did not look like it would improve with age. The handles were clearly not rolled leather inside, and had "breaks" between whatever was used to stuff them. I'm not even totally sure it was real leather. It looked and felt like bad fake leather. Two stars because $75 isn't terrible for a leather(ish) overnight bag, even if it is low quality, but your $ could be spent much better on a different bag.--$75---** 2 Stars-Komal's Passion Leather 24 Inch Duffel Travel Gym Sports Overnight Weekend Leather Bag (rectangular)And-Komal's Passion Leather 24 Inch Duffel Travel Gym Overnight Weekend Leather Bag(circular)The two bags I ordered from Komal's were the highest quality of the five. They were beautiful dark cognac brown and had nice thick leather. The straps came with a shoulder pad and seemed to be sewed on very securely. I will say the straps seemed a little stiffer than the rest of the bag, and may need to be replaced after a few years, but these bags felt like they would last for a decade. The leather also had natural distressing that I think will look better with age, rain drops, jostling, etc. It would be nice if the buckles were magnetic instead of requiring actual buckling/unbuckling (i'll sacrifice a little security for convenience, personally), but that was not an option on any of the bags. It seemed like more stuff would fit in the rectangular bag, and that it would stay more organized that it would in the cylindrical bag. Like all of the bags, this had a green velvet interior. The zippers seemed sturdy. I didn't love that they were black and seemed to stand out quite a bit, but it wasn't a huge deal. The leather was lighter than the other bags, but not in a washed-out way. Of all the bags, I actually think this leather will improve the most with battering and age. Leather was supple (though not as supple as the Komal's) and thick. It actually seemed a little thicker than the Komal's and might hold up better over the long term, but both brands made bags that will last years and years. I decided not to keep this one because I didn't want to have to undo the buckle for the flap over the front every time I needed something, though I thought the flap looked awesome and I liked that it hid the zippers, but like I said, inconvenience is big for me. The main dealbreaker here was that the bag was too small for anything other than a short overnight. I am a girl that likes to have a few outfit options when I travel, and this just didn't seem like it would fit much. Plus there were no big pockets for organization.--$73---**** 4 StarsHandmadecraft "Byto" Genuine Leather Travel Shoulder Holdall Vintage Bag Unisex BrownA beautiful bag that was extremely similar to the rectangular Komal’s. Hoenstly it was basically the exact same except for a couple minor things. It was a little lighter in color, and the leather felt like it might be a tiny bit thinner (but it may just be that the lining on the Komal’s was thicker). The strap on the one also was the only one that didn’t come with a shoulder pad. I incrementally preferred the color of the Komal’s, but this is the one I ended up keeping. I LOVE THIS BAG just wish I purchased the bigger one

Impressive, within limits, and price. This [same(?) or vastly-similar] bag is sold by several vendors— at least it *appears so— so I went with the lower price, sized within carry-on regs. Kamal *may simply be rebranding (for which I commend their sourcing), but they could leave off with the fabric bag, and the leather nameplate sewn inside could just be burned into the surface. It looks somewhat lux, appears well-made, hardware seems durable (tho I’d prefer solid brass), straps go around the bottom and wear points are riveted, but I’ll expect to replace the zipper pull tabs. Yes, it came well-wrapped, all hardware came covered.It appears to be goatskin, which is *tough (natural drum-heads are ALL goat), tho the dye layer is very thin. To reiterate another reviewer, you have to realize THIS IS A CANVAS BAG SEWN WITH THIN GOATSKIN. The inner canvas is coarse, true but acceptable, and the leather thickness is adequate BECAUSE it’s goatskin. The thick shoulder strap appears to be full grain on one side (mine shows a few “features”, no worries), tho positioning of the pad is curiously best *under the buckle. The inner pocket is tiny; the outer pocket expands, but should not contain valuables in Naples or in urban crowds. Jussayin. [IMHO, straps on airport luggage should contain a metal cable.]THE AROMA IS STRONG IN THIS ONE— *NOT the “good smell of a leather shop”); it was almost overwhelming on delivery! I left it outdoors for a day and it subsided, but was still *pungent, so I tested Fabreeze Extra Strength on the bottom. This, after drying, had NO visible effect on the (non-waterproof) leather, so I pretty much saturated the entirety with Fabreeze and put dryer sheets in the pockets. After *completely drying, the malodor was lessened — and might resolve in time.The REAL CURE was when I next day applied Leather Therapy Restorer and Conditioner (which is first choice for many saddlers here in CO), which softens the leather —without being greasy or sticky (beware others). The primary reason for this is that I’ll use it at the gym (always potentially incurring wetness), and this stuff inhibits mold and mildew! I’ll thus probably waterproof the bottom, [I SHOULD have (first) rubbed the bottom with silicone grout sealant from Home Depot, which will be very resistant to water]. Make certain to get the leather inner seams and inside the front pocket. The Leather Therapy somewhat darkens the leather to almost a “tobacco” patina, feels great.For the price, overall —and with 45 mins work— this can’t be beat!

I purchased this spacious leather overnight duffel in 2019. It's been on many trips, through many airports, tossed around many hotels. So far it has been bulletproof.One note is that, when full, the bag weighs 25 plus pounds which doesn't sound like a lot until you're running from one end of an airport to the other to catch your connection. If this is an issue I would recommend a wheeled variety.I deducted one star because I had to buy a separate handle strap (see picture), otherwise 5 stars for this bag.For those who mention the smell, it did have a weird smell to it when it arrived, perhaps the oil it was conditioned with before it was shipped? I let it sit out for a couple of weeks before I used it. It smells fine now (which reminds me that I need to treat it with fresh leather conditioner, I mean it's been more than 5 years).Note: I took the attached picture today before I wrote this review. Bag still looks new and I think I only spent $80 on it. Not bad.

I have acquired three of these bags, along with numerous other products from this company, and I must say that the quality is truly exceptional. Crafted from genuine leather, the bags exude a delightful aroma. Having utilized my bag on multiple occasions, I can attest to its remarkable durability and resilience. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to others seeking a superior leather bag.
