Pinnacle Mercantile Plastic Squeeze Condiment Bottles with Red Tip Cap 16-ounce Set of 6 Wide Mouth

I purchased these solely to aid my production of making my popcorn with which I use Cholula Original Hot Sauce. I have so far used two, one for my Cholula, and one for Canola Oil. They are good size for your hand and the flexible body allows for easy control of the stream while it is dispensing whatever liquid you've put in it. Since I use a digital scale when cooking, it is very nice to be able to control the speed at which I'm adding ingredients. I plan on switching all my hot sauces, dressings, and oils over to these bottles. Though I may need to get a label maker so I don't mix them up.The red caps snap on quite securely and reasonably easy to remove, though I've yet to be able to remove the cap one-handed. Perhaps with practice, I'll accomplish that small feat. I personally prefer this sort of capping system over the bottles with attached caps as the attached caps always have a way of somehow getting in the stream of whatever is coming out of the bottle and then you have to go clean off the whole top of the dispenser lest you attract ants.A previous reviewer had noted that the bottles can be a bit temperamental with oils — this is true, but only if you don't close it well enough. Just make sure the top is twisted on very tightly and you'll experience no leakage. I held the bottle upside down for a while to make sure. I later didn't tighten the cap well enough and found it to be leaking small amounts of oil during use. After cleaning it with a paper towel and retightening it, I redid the test of holding it upside down and it worked just fine. Only time will tell if this becomes a problem later, but for now it is just a matter of properly sealing the bottle.Update (October 27th, 2015):Since somebody asked, I did measure the bottles:Bottle Outer-Diameter: 2 3/8"Bottle Height (including cap): 8 3/4"Bottle Mouth Inner-Diameter: 1 3/16"Spout Length: 1 1/8"Spout Opening Inner-Diameter: 1/16"In other news: The bottles are still working nicely (granted it is only been a month and a half). The bottles are handling the Canola oil well, though you do have to make sure the cap is screwed down nice and tight. Oil tends to stick to the bottle (a little dribbling from the spout after use), so cleaning the top with a damp cloth after use seems to help immensely.

Perfect for mayo, ranch, liquid sauces. Wish it had more threads but so far no issues. Chunky blue cheese will require you cut the hole more, which is easy.

The nozzle on these plastic bottles was the perfect size for applying royal icing to my Christmas cookies. The bottle was not flimsy, or too pliable. I am so glad to discover this alternative to using a pastry bag. It’s cheaper, and I was able to store leftover icing in the bottle for a little while in the refrigerator. Great product. It arrived quickly.

Was hard to get open as I can only use one hand but after got them filled with barbecue and ketchup, what a difference and the smaller opening help a lot.

the red cap is just a pop off not a screw off. makes it easy for opening.

I bought to use these for my cold processed soap making. The lids cross thread easily and leak if you don't screw on carefully. These work best if you bring to a very light trace and shake minimally to mix colors. The soap will begin to cool & thicken up quickly with too much shaking, to the point of not being able to squeeze out cleanly. Make sure to clean out the bottles and caps with soap and water right away after use, otherwise you will kick yourself later trying to scrape saponified soap out. I cut the nipple end of the bottle with a pair of scissors for a tad larger opening. These do the job. it took a bit of trial and error to get the soap batter right to dispense consistently from these bottles. Don't worry about the plastic caps, you might as well just throw the red endsnaway on the ends because they'll disappear or go missing after the first use.
