Go Outside
Really well machined piece of aluminum, perfect balance, nice spindle action. Makes tricks easier. But if you're buying this for a beginner: make sure you teach them how to use it, because it's not like those cheap plastic yoyos with the fixed spindle. Teach them how to return, how to throw, etc. Don't just give it to them and then forget about it. It is really fun to use, and with some practice you can do crazy tricks. Be aware that this chunk of fine aluminum can break all kinds of stuff, so you might want to send them outside!

Very good yo-yo!
The media could not be loaded. This yo-yo is very responsive, it’s actually pretty light even though it’s made of metal (aluminum) and the built quality feels and seems very good. don’t listen to anyone saying it’s unresponsive, you just have to make sure to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS that it comes with to put the string on properly, and you’ll be good to go. I’m not sure if it’s heavy for a young child, but this brand makes plastic yo-yos so don’t worry. This was worth 15 dollars. Highly recommend!!! 😁👍🏽

Good, but Not My Favorite from MagicYoYo
As a responsive yoyo, this isn't too bad for beginners. If you do have a little more experience, I think there are much better models that MagicYoYo makes out there, even the ones that have the responsive and unresponsive bearing options together. It's relatively comfortable to use, but the spin times aren't fantastic on it. I even tried lubing the bearings a little, and that helped, but I do believe there are still better options from this company. Watching some videos on it, DK actually recommended putting a thicker unresponsive bearing in there, apparently the axle is JUST long enough to allow the yoyo to connect with a thicker bearing, and he mentioned in one of his videos that it was a complete game changer. I may try that out at some point. Again though, as a learner yoyo, it's not terrible, but I think you could grow out of it pretty quickly.

Beautiful! And throws well, to boot!
We'll get to performance in a moment, but first: Just look at this thing! Really beautiful. I took a couple pictures, as I feel the manufacturer-provided ones really don't do it justice. That aside, this thing throws pretty well. It'll be a perfectly fine choice for any beginner, and more experienced players will find little too complain about.Addressing a few points mentioned by other reviewers: I read a couple complaints of it spinning off-balance. Luckily, this mine doesn't do this unless thrown pretty badly. Indeed, some cheap mass produced toys will invariably have the occasional manufacturing defect. If you receive yours and have a defect causing this, definitely exchange it! Another complained that the yoyo wouldn't come back up--honestly, I have a feeling this might have just had to come down to user error, and a parent jumping to the review section before learning that's what it is supposed to do. This is a "real" yoyo, and of the bearing-equipped variety. As such, it will happily "sleep" when thrown. And since it's responsive, just a slight tug will send it spinning back up into one's hand!If I have one complaint, it's that it can really HURT when it hits you! If you are just starting out, and plan to actually do some tricks, just know that you will inevitably be struck with the yoyo many times. If you're pain adverse, a plastic yoyo may be a bit better option. In this case, the MagicYoYo K1 is a great alternative.

Nicely Crafted, Good Weight, Slick Bearings
My son got one for Christmas and was blown away. This thing is so fast and smooth, it made all his efforts go the furthest, not having to fight a cheap toy yo-yo with all its challenges. This thing is carved out of a single piece of aluminum and is beautiful in its own right. It had a nice weight to it, which along with the slick bearings, make for the perfect slinky throws. It feels like a pro yo-yo but not a ton of money. My son loves and can Walk the Dog for the longest time, and do many Around-the-World’s without running out of spin. I love to watch him throw this around the house. Highly recommended!

Not an auto return for beginners as the title says
Its says auto return and for beginners but honestly its really not. First it doesn't come with the string connected and the directions on how to attach it aren't very clear but i figured it out after about 10 mins of messing with it, and im a 35 yr old adult so it seems highly unlikely that a child could figure it out. It did come in a nice case with extra string though. Next, its a yo yo that sleeps, but when youre young and have never used a yo yo, you don't know what that means or why its doing it so my son thought it was broke and was bawling cause he was so excited to use it, definitely didnt auto return. More like manual return. I can use it just fine but I've played with yo yo's since I was a kid so I know how to do it. I'd say its an intermediate yo yo at best and even then, if you're buying one that sleeps you may as well get one with bearings. At least then it doesn't sleep for a few seconds and just unravel so you have to rewind it over and over again. Not the worst yo yo I've owned but far from the best and there are way better ones out there for any amount of skill.

My 9 yr old grandson loves it!
First of all this yo yo is beautiful! It’s a beautiful metallic red. The weight is so nice and it responds beautifully! My grandson hasn’t put it down much since he got it. The skill he has built over just a few days has also built a sense of confidence and pride. I am so happy I got this yo-yo for him. It’s a quality yo-yo.

Great YoYo for the price
My 9 year old was ready to move past his plastic duncan butterfly and start doing some more advanced. He immediately noticed the differnce in quality and he loved the different colored strings. The instructions were a bit confusing but we figured it out!

Great professional yo-yo for a beginner
To be fair, I was sceptical about my 10yr spending this amount of money on a yo-yo, which I assumed would either be lost, broken or put in the draw with all the others things that she couldn’t possibly live without until she got them, got bored with them etc etc, I’m sure every parent is aware of this story. However, it’s very good quality for the price, (my kid brother went through a serious yo-yo phase in his teens and went through many types and strings, so I have a small amount of knowledge about them from 20 odd years ago) it’s instructions are clear and simple, nice amount of spare strings, which if it isn’t discarded, she will need, glove and bag as well. Lovely weight to it which is important for stunts and so far so good and is being used everyday . PLUS as she bought it rather than me I’ll happily give it 5*
