Update: I try reaching out to Glencarin Via email to see of I could get a new set or get a new presentation box since initial box was pretty beat up, they were very prompt to respond and professional but sadly since amazon is a 3rd party seller, there was nothing they could do. So I went through Amazon and they had a replacement sent to me in 2 days, box and glasses were in perfect condition! Very happy with my purchase.The glasses are PHENOMENAL, I bought this to have a nice presentation box for when I have guests over for some good pours and can have a box to showcase with the glasses. Sadly due to poor packing, this what I got. I have emailed the company requesting not new glasses but just a new box, If they can provide the customer service to back their product I will gladly give 5 stars.

I had to post this review since there were many stating that the packaging and presentation was subpar. As consumers we rely on reviews and we depend on their accuracy in helping with purchasing products. I have to say that this purchase hit all the points. The case is simple but elegant which can make for a fine gift. I purchased two, one for myself and one for my son which is gift. Glasses were perfectly tucked in the case and they are as advertised. These will be christened this weekend or even this evening. Highly recommend these.

This is the real thing. I never drink whiskeys from any other glass. The shape is perfect to waft aroma to the nose, fits comfortably in the palm to amplify the effect. Sturdy base far preferable to delicate stemmed snifter-style whiskey glasses.

These get used constantly at my bar. In my opinion the Glencarin glass is the benchmark standard by which all other scotch glasses are compared. The box is a nice addition as well. Very happy with my purchase and will be sending some of these off to my friends for Christmas.

Love the glasses, but the presentation box could be a bit sturdier. One glass was shattered within the box upon arrival. (Amazon was able to ship a new set in time.)

Never owned cairns before, but they've really transformed my bourbon experience. Beyond the elegant appearance, they focus and shape both the nose and the palate more than I thought possible. I've particularly enjoyed nosing the glasses after drinking--once the last bits of alcohol evaporate, an entirely different set of scents emerges that I typically missed earlier. They seem sturdy enough, though they are still glass, so I haven't exactly tested their limits. The gift box is sturdy enough that I'm using it to store the glasses for the time being. I bought a "Cairn Cleaner" brush along with these, and I'd recommend that as well; the mouth is just narrow enough to make it difficult to clean inside without something like that.

The quality of these glasses along with the presentation box they came in make them a nice gift for any Scotch or Bourbon lover. My son thought these were a perfect birthday present.
