The best accessory for your truck
Assuming you're not just some yuppie who bought a pickup because you think it makes you manly... This is for the people who own trucks and use them. I've had two load handlers in my life, One on a 3/4 ton ram and the other on a 1 ton F-150 super duty both with full size beds. Assuming you own a truck for the right reasons, you've spent your time shoveling mulch out of the bed or God forbid gravel. Even firewood is difficult, a pickup truck gives you the ability to move material from point a to b but what about once you get to your location? This thing is so simple but incredibly effective. Go to their website and watch the videos, it works exactly the way they show. You could look at the pictures on the box and put this item together, but the first time you use it you will be completely amazed. I just picked up 4,000 lb of 411 limestone. They say it can unload a full bed in under 1 minute, I would say it was under 45 seconds. What's nice is you can control the amount of material and then move the vehicle and then lay down more material. I can't say enough good things about this product, it's very heavy, extremely well built, and will last you longer than the truck well. Your purchase will move from truck to truck without it out. The most fun is firewood, it empties an entire bed of stacked firewood in a few seconds. Give this thing a shot, I think you'll be glad that you did.

Pleasant Surprise, 2011 Ram 1500...Works Great,Few Suggestions
Let me start off by saying i purchased the harbor freight version of this first, that does not fit the oddly shaped tailgates on the Ram 1500: returned that and went with this..I am glad it didn't fit this load handler although more money is constructed far superior to the junk I returned, its fully adjustable and fits great as well..Its constructed of steel instead of plastic and has bearings instead of makeshift plastic bushings..So as far as its construction i give it an A+,I did read about spray liners being a problem with heavier loads as well as product making its way off the drag sheet,so what I did was purchased a piece of 3/8 duraply(very smooth and handles elements well)and laid it into the bed(that takes care of the spray liner problem)next before pulling the drag sheet out I lay a blue tarp down,I like to come up and over the bedsides, next I lay the drag sheet down on top of tarp.I now load my product, mulch, firewood soil etc etc...I cover the product with the excess tarp that was laying over the bed sides....Ok time to unload,a dream..open up tarp, install crank handle, crank out product, whatever falls off drag sheet is caught in tarp, not a lot but some, when done cranking the drag sheet you just pull out the tarp removing whatever remaining product or debris....now my truck is a 1500 I am not crowning the bed with gravel or soil but good loads non the less..It works great and you will be glad you got it,not to mention the time you save,as well as your back...Just one more suggestion, when your done using it take it off the truck dont leave it on:what happens is dust and debri gets under the foam on the steel mounts and will scratch your tailgate in short order....Hope this Helps, good luck

works well for small loads!
I used this for mulch, topsoil, gravel, & yard waste. I built 48” high plywood sides within my pickup bed to insure the load would be channeled onto the 48” mat and would not be restricted by the wheel wells or other obstructions - as the instructions advised. I found that placing a plastic tarp between my spray-on-bedliner and the mat helped to reduce the friction between the mat and the spray-on-bedliner, assisting in getting the load to move. Small loads evenly distributed - less than 1000 pounds - could be cranked off, with much effort. Half of a cubic yard of topsoil needed to be shoveled off while standing at the back of the truck before I was able to crank/move the remainder of the cubic yard to the back of the truck, which did not require me to get into the truck to shovel it off. I returned with a yard an a half of top soil and had to shovel 2/3’rds of it off before I could get the load to move and then it was a struggle to crank it out. Mulch isn’t heavy, but when it’s piled up on the sides it creates too much drag on the sides to allow it to be cranked off. I can usually fork off 2/3 rd’s of 4 yards of mulch standing at the back of the truck, and then crank off the remaining amount to the rear of the truck, which again did not require me to jump in and off the truck to unload that last yard or so. I had a couple loads of river rock - around 800 pounds - that I could crank off, but it required some hard cranking. However, it really shinned with yard waste - cuttings, bushes, old mulch, since there’s not much weight with that material it rolled right off. It’s worth $200.00, but it’s not going to replace a dump trailer or dump insert. As I said, getting that last bit of the load to the back of the truck so I didn’t have to get up and down shoveling it out was a plus. I will say there’s a lot of stress on the mat, crank and straps holding the tailgate down when your moving heavy loads - and you’ll be working to turn the crank. Not too sure how long the mats going to last between the stress and sliding of my fork and shovel over it to get most of the load off. Installation is easy, and the crank, rod and bearings were heavy duty. I ended up drilling a hole in the end of the crank handle so I could insert a pin so it wouldn’t drop out of the insert slot. Again, small loads of gravel, or topsoil - less than 1000 pounds - or a yard of mulch can be cranked off.

Awesome product, Works as advertised!
Before purchasing this product I read the reviews and was a little skeptical. IT REALLY WORKS!! We are a small property maintenance company and the Load Handler is one of the best things we've bought in a long time. Your truck must have a liner that allows the Handler to slide over it easily. We have used it without any problems up to about 2500 lbs of weight. It easily unloads as long as your bed liner is not rubberized and slip proof. Gravel, dirt, tree limbs and brush all come off with a few turns. I would highly recommend it. I wish we would have purchased some sort of tailgate gap cover. Gravel gets stuck sometime, but other than that this product performs as it should. You won't be disappointed.
