Easy on the NDs easy on my hands
I have 2 ND goats that are pretty short and have small teats making it uncomfortable and difficult to milk by hand. This works really well at a suction of around 8 psi takes 7 min to milk 3 cups. It is easier on the teats needing less bumping and reducing the risk of scratching the delicate skin. I also LOVE that the jar is closed at all times - no foot/hair/knocking over in the bucket. This is awesome.... I can check their eyes/ears and brush them while the suction does the milking.

My goat likes it significantly better than hand milking
This a very simple tool that does the job. I was starting to experiencing significant hand pain when milking my goat and it was taking my longer to get the milking done. The product says to stay below a pressure of 15. I find that my goat lets down at 5 and then continues a continues stream with a pressure even lower than that. Researching this product many people said that it can damage teats and udders. After using it I think that would only happen if you were using too high a pressure or leaving it on longer than necessary. My goat likes it significantly better than hand milking. She does not kick, snort, or stomp while using this. I like that I can do other tasks such as checking her for ticks while still being able to keep my eye on this. It also keeps the milk clean since it is a closed system.I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5 because it is expensive for what it is. It is a very simple tool and after looking at it one could easily make their own for a fraction of the cost. Definitely recommend.

Excellant
Third time I've purchased a bottle milker from Dansha Farms. The first , a single teet battery powered milker, The second a two teet battery powered milker. Both have lasted years with excellent service. I'm waiting for replacement batteries from Amazon so I can continue to use them, so, in the interim I've ordered and received Danshas vacuum hand-pump single teet model so I now have a backup for battery failure. I tested and used this model now and find it excellent. I will not be using it on a regular basis however as I'm 68 and the reason for going to a bottle milker in the first place is I have artheritis in my hands and pumping a manual vacuum pump is nearly as hard as hand milking.

Would highly recommend
Broke my arm in May and was having trouble milking until my veterinarian mentioned these hand held pumps. I ordered one that very day, it arrived within a few days and what a miracle machine. I love this milk pump. It cuts milking time down to a few minutes, the milk goes directly into the sealed quart jar, keeping it clean, and the unit cleans up easily between milkings. I'm getting my arm back slowly after the surgery but I don't think I'll give up the manual milk pump. Great invention.

Definitely a worthwhile purchase!!
I don't leave many reviews. That being said. This thing is awesome! I am pretty new to dairy goats and have two FF. Both have pretty small teats and milking them has been... less than the ideal learning experience. I have one goat baby in the house as a bottle baby, as he has a facial issue which made it almost impossible for him to latch onto mom. I am trying to feed exclusively goats milk so have been struggling getting enough milk for him as he grows. I looked at a lot of milking 'machines' and this one fit in my budget and the reviews indicated that it may be a worthwhile purchase. BOY IS IT!!! It came quickly (sooner than expected) and as some of the reviewers indicated, I read through the directions (very through, clearly written and easy to understand), and watched a tutorial video on the website as well. Armed with this information I was able to successfully milk my does with NO ISSUES the very first try! I got almost double what I had been getting hand milking and it took less than HALF the time. Which made me and my two jumpy FF very happy! THANK YOU Danshafarms for this wonderful product. I highly recommend this.

Works well, pressure release is a little hard to use.
I still use my hand pump that I bought from here even after getting an electric one. The small screw that holds the pivot came out thanks to my three year old, but that was easily and cheaply replaced with a small nut and bolt. I very much like this hand pump and would highly recommend it if you only have a few animals that need milking. The pressure release on the bottom of the vacuum chamber is a little hard to use, I got a thimble or of my sewing kit so I could depress it without stabbing myself on it. But that was not even inconvenient enough for me to want to lower the rating, just a friendly note.

I like it!
This is a really neat machine. Milking my goats was taking me forever and was hurting my hands but this saved me time and hand cramps. Make sure to read the instructions first before you use it. The instructions were very helpful. I have dwarf goats and I was worried that the 60ml teat cup would be too big but it worked well for my goat with smaller teats as well as my goat with larger teats. It takes a little getting used to but I think all and all this is a great product. I would (and will) buy it again. It beats hand milking any day! Cleaning is fairly easy and they go over the proper way to clean in the instructions. Make sure to watch the level of milk in the jar so not to suck up foam into the pump and to watch the gauge as to not apply too much suction. It's easy to use and it works well. if you have animals that give a lot of milk, I would suggest the larger jar.

Life saver, thrilled with my purchase!
Shipped quickly and works amazing!! Tried so hard to hand milk our family goat but it took me forever, meanwhile im worrying about my 3 kids under 3 yrs alone in the house! Milks her out so quickly, i no longer get kicked, and im back in the house before my kids even realize i ran to the barn! Only change i made was to switch out the quart jar for a half gallon one i already had for storing our goatmilk.
