- 2016 saw the Seifried family celebrate 40 years of winemaking. They are the oldest family winery in the South Island of New Zealand and the largest winery in Nelson.
- Sweet Agnes is an iconic wine for Seifried Estate, and was named by Hermann Seifried in honour of his wife Agnes.
- Sweet Agnes is New Zealand’s most awarded dessert wine with a total of 15 trophies and 40 gold medals since its release in 2006.
- Recent awards include 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards Platinum ‘Best New Zealand sweet’ & 2016 IWSC Gold medal.
- Made using 100% Riesling fruit, the grapes were hand selected at the peak of ripeness. Tasting note: the palate is luscious with bright fruit balanced by natural acidity.
