Spigen Tough Armor [Military Grade] Designed for iPhone XR Case 6.1 inch - Black

So I bought this this past December for my new IPhone XR. I've been paranoid for the longest time of my breaking or suffering from fall damage so I did extensive research. What had won me over originally with this was the sleek armor design the case was promoting as well as the little stand in the back to prop your phone like a TV screen. It has now been 6 months and I can say I am happy with this purchase! I am an outdoors kind of guy where I love to hike but am also extremely clumsy. There have been countless times where I am hiking and have dropped my phone, where at the moment, I would freak out thinking my phone was gone. Sure enough this case took the hit and protected my phone. There are a few times (like 4 or 5) where there have been a serious fall and resulted in a scratch on the case. Since it has a matte finish and not a glossy one, the scratches are hardly noticeable (unless you are looking for them) and it gives it more of a rugged design (which I am a fan of). The little TV stand on the back has been a bless in disguise for me! There are times where I am on a flight or sitting at my desk and I want to watch some Netflix or Hulu. After a while holding your phone, my hand tends to cramp up. With the stand, however, I can prop my phone up, put my Bluetooth head phones on, sit back and binge watch all day on my phone! No more holding and it literally turns my phone into a convenient little TV screen for travel. Overall, I love my purchase of this case. It is a well designed case with good protection and added features. The only draw back is that it is a "2 part case", a part that goes around the phone and another that clamps it in place. Other two part cases I've had were annoying and noticeable, but this case I can't even tell. I feel the two part case actually stays on tougher because of that, offering more protection. Besides that, this has been a case I have enjoyed since day 1!!

This is my family's forth Spigen case. We get them for virtually every cell phone we own... including my work phone. These cases are sturdy, provide excellent combined characteristic protection, look good, and have some great features. Sturdiness wise, this particular case is stout! It doesn't deform within what I consider to be a normal range of applied force, even a little. It snaps into place when the phone is put in, and it provides reasonable resistance to removal. Protection wise, this case provides what we in the military call defense in depth. The stiff plastic layer provides protection from penetration and crushing damage to my phone. The hard plastic is very strong and hasn't shown damage yet... and between me and my 5-year old, I'm not kind to my device. The inside rubber layer is just stiff enough to hold its shape, but is resilient enough to protect against shock damage (think shock absorber.) This gives the maximum protection for a device expected for a cast that does not fully enclose a device. My only complaint for protection is that there is no integrated screen protection, and it does not provide dust or water protection like some other brands. However, I am not looking for that in a daily use case for my work phone. In terms of looks, I appreciate the aesthetic of this case. It is relatively slim, but the angles bezels and flat back make it a great companion for the IXR phone. For features, I love the exposed apple window, the finger rest adjacent to the camera hole, the access for the silence switch, and the alignment and functionality of the button protectors. However, my favorite feature is the kickstand in back. This makes media consumption while on travel easy and provides a handy assistant for video calls. I am loyal to this brand for a reason, and each new case I purchase renews that loyalty. I can honestly say that this is a must as I have abandoned previous brands when they failed me.

The ONLY reason it didn’t get five stars is because of the kickstand. It works well, but it’s a little flimsy. The rest of the case is great. Low profile, fits easily into the holder in my truck and works fine with my wireless chargers. I’ve accidentally dropped it a few times from about 4 feet a nothing happened. Once it hit on a corner with no damage. Other cases I’ve used always broke the screen protector, not this one!

I honestly love this case, I wanted to wait on a review so I could really test it out but it’s been a few months (almost 6) now and it’s still held up incredibly. I am a CLUMSY person and I drop my phone honestly at least once a week (more if I’m being honest) and this case protects it like no other. The case is sturdy but flexible enough to not get weird chunks or drop marks on it if you do drop it unlike more plastic hard cases. The slim body makes my already big iPhone X easy and comfortable to hold while using (I’m a gamer so this is a big deal). The kick stand is bomb!! It comes in handy when I’m wanting to watch Netflix in the kitchen while doing dishes, or wanting to FaceTime while cooking, so many uses it’s great! Plus I’m a clean lines, sleek and classy kind of girl when it comes to tech stuff and the fact that it doesn’t have buttons, weird colors, or designs helps it feel more my style. Great product and quite the value for the price, which is great too compared to most “name brand” or high end cases. I’m definitely coming back in the future.

I got this case as it was a good deal and was just what I needed for a back up phone I had to use due to my original phone breaking. I usually buy another brand but decided to try this one as other reviews were good and price was just right. It has held up great, looks good still even after some drops and phone is protected. I like that it’s not that bulky. I have used the stand a couple of times and it has worked fine but I would like the case even if it didn’t have it. I was worried that the stand would always fall out/open but it stays in place and hasn’t been an issue.

My old one lasted me 4+ years before it started to completely degrade and chunks were falling off. I still wasn’t worried about the protection of my phone since the things that protected my phone were completely intact. I just didn’t want bits of plastic getting everywhere from my old case so I got this again. Hopefully, it is just as good. This is probably the best phone case I’ve ever had if the quality still holds up.
