Wonderful book of off the table madness. Really cheered me up. I love Stein. She is a visionary.

Okay, this review has nothing to do with the quality of the book (5 ⭐️), Amazon’s service (5 ⭐️), or with Australia Posts delivery (4 ⭐️). This is about my thoughts on the content, so, here we go…I have heard of Stein, and thought this would be a good place to dip my toes into her bibliography. Unfortunately I missed the mention of her being a pioneer of avant-garde style (oops). So, I begin what I thought would be some witty writing centred around food, but it was quickly apparent that I had bitten off more than I could chew. What rabbit hole did I just tumble down because you’d have to be as high as a kite to get this.1 star ⭐️

Some of these I really liked and I kinda got. Particularly 'breakfast'.Others just left me slightly confused.Gertrude Stein is an interesting place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Verbales Bildermalen ohne einen goldenen Faden, stilistisch nicht schlecht gemacht, aber man muss es mögen. Für mich ist es ein wenig zu abstrakt und avantgarde.
