The heartbeat of my indoor garden
The media could not be loaded. The Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Power Strip has truly become the heartbeat of my indoor garden. As someone managing a small grow setup inside a 4x4 tent, I needed a power solution that was reliable, easy to control, and adaptable to my plants’ changing needs—and this device delivered on every level. What I appreciate most is the ability to control each outlet individually through the Kasa app. This allows me to schedule and manage my grow lights, fans, and humidifier with precision. I’ve set custom schedules for different phases of the grow cycle, and I can make adjustments anytime from my phone, whether I’m home or not. That kind of flexibility is a game-changer for me.Setup was simple and straightforward. The app guided me through the connection process, and within minutes everything was up and running. The connection has been reliable, and the strip feels sturdy and well-made.Having one centralized control hub helps me stay organized and consistent. It removes a lot of the guesswork and gives me peace of mind, especially when I can’t be there to check on things constantly. For anyone managing an indoor garden—large or small—I highly recommend the Kasa Smart Power Strip. It’s dependable, efficient, and a great investment in your grow's success.

Best Power Strips
These smart power strips have made my life like a million times better. I have 3 of these now and want more. I automated my room's lights, humidifier, air purifier, and all my reptile lamps. I absolutely recommend these for automating reptile setups, they are way better than manual reptile branded power strips. I also researched to make sure these power strips could handle multiple lights and heat lamps. They can. They also have good surge protection for things like your computer or tv.-The app is also super easy to use. I love being able to monitor power usage and easily turn a light on or off using my phone. I use the app's widgets on my samsung phone to add shortcuts to my home screen so I dont have to go into the app to quickly turn a light on or off. It's really easy to set schedules, timers, names, and organize it the way you like.-I've used other smart plugs before and they didn't work very well. They always had issues with disconnecting and the apps for other brand were annoying to use. For this power strips, I've rarely had connection issues.-I absolutely recommend this power strip to people with animal setups, people who want to automate their rooms, and people who want a reliable power strip that will protect their electronics. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk

I HAVE 4 and WANT MORE
I love these. I have 4 of them now. They work amazing, app is simple and quick. Peace of mind is great knowing I can activate or deactivate the item. Use for 3D printer, led lighting, tv, all things that can be turned off and benefit from not being plugged in wasting electricity.

Super handy and well built smart power strip
I got this Kasa smart strip to make it easier to cut power to my laptop when it’s not in use. I used to unplug it from a regular power strip to protect the battery, but that meant having to bend down every time. Now I just turn off the outlet from the app, and that’s it. Way more convenient. It feels really well made. The materials are solid, and it doesn’t look or feel cheap at all. Setup was smooth. The Kasa app recognized it right away, and the interface is super easy to use. I like that you can control each outlet independently, which gives you a lot of flexibility depending on what you’ve got plugged in. Works great with Google AssistantAnother big plus for me is being able to monitor the power usage from each connected device. It’s actually helpful to see what’s drawing electricity and when, especially if you want to reduce unecessary energy use.Overall, it’s a great product if you want more control over your setup. The USB ports are a nice extra too

I like it
Great power stripPros:Easy set upGood functionalityEnergy monitoring for individual outletsLED lights aren’t glaringly brightCons:Short cordDoes not accommodate transformers or offset plugsOverall this is a great purchase. Set up is easy with the Kasa app. Each outlet is individually controlled in either the app or the buttons next to each outlet. While you cannot determine the cost of the power used by each outlet you can monitor how much each outlet draws and then do your own math.I purchased this for my entertainment center as the power conservation gurus point out that TVs are big draws even when off. Mine is not a smart TV but I found out that it draws about 1kwh a day if I leave it on. I was surprised to see how much power the Roku draws. In the attached pics you can see that each outlet shows up individually (the ones I marked with red Xs) in the app and you can view both the power consumed as well as the run time.I also appreciate how subtle the LEDs are. My old strip also served as an overly bright and unnecessary nightlight and probably pulled more power than anything plugged into it.The only reason this isn’t a 5-star review is that the cord is way to short, and like so many power strips this one does not accommodate transformers; like the Roku which I have on a subtended power strip; or offset, odd-shaped, or oversized plugs. That is the engineering conundrum…either the Bozos that design the plugs or the ones that don’t design power strips to accommodate them, or both, aren’t living in the real world. This is a good purchase for any location where you are desiring to control energy hungry devices.

Works with Prometheus/Grafana
This device works out of the box with Prometheus/Grafana/Homeassistant, meaning it's a super inexpensive way to add per-port remote reboot capability AND energy monitoring to your homelab. There are open source prometheus exporters for this power strip and it works great.
