SIB: Three Merchants of Bombay (PB): Business Pioneers of the Nineteenth Century

Reading this book is like turning back the pages to peek a look at Bombay & the Parsi community. The research done by the author to write such a an elaborate narrative is impeccable; as I believe the documents would have been equally hard to find. I enjoyed the chapter on Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy & Premchand Roychand. I am pretty sure many of us born in Bombay know the peripheral history of the city but not that of the people who built it. So this book serves as an excellent link to the era gone by.

An excellent book to learn the history of the developement of economic and financial system of India in general and also of Bombay( now Mumbai) up to great extant.It gives the account of deeptooted eternal and universal forces which gives corrourage to those who wish to change the circumstances prevailing around them and become an achiever. A good reading for all who love History and Historical Developement of the Trade and Economy of India.
