That's not due to the prose, but the emotional difficulty of the subject matter. The book opens with an extensive telling of a child coming up in abuse - not just the abuse of neglect (which abounds), but considerable emotional, and yes, a sad revelation of child sexual abuse. It's a powerful story - just in that Stormy could come through it to adulthood. Then there is the insider's view of life in the adult industry - of course Stormy's story is an interesting one, though far from typical. Stormy has clocked a couple of decades in an industry that runs through most in a year or two, mastering almost every aspect of the business. Of course, the reason the book is news is the portion relating to Trump. The underlying facts there are hardly astounding - it's Trump's denial and the lengths he and his minions go through to bury it and cover it up that are more than astounding. If Stormy could really have made seven figures telling this story before the election, oh, that she would have done it. I agree with her assessment, after the Planet Hollywood footage and everything else, Trumps attitude about women and his bent as a philanderer, were well enough established that it probably wouldn't have changed a mind or heart. Still, as bizarre as the Christian right's support of him was in the first place, it's hard to know what might have been the last straw, and turned back those last few crucial votes. And that issue aside, it might have been a path of less personal turmoil for Stormy herself. Of course, alternative realities are hard to parse - Stormy was boxed in without a lot of great alternatives. But an NDA is one thing - signing misleading statements denying the truth is something else entirely. But again, she was boxed in without the benefit of good counsel, and paid the price. All that being said, admissions against interest lend themselves to credibility. There are enough unsettling and unflattering personal disclosures in this book to have a resounding ring of truth. And as they say, the truth will set you free. Let Freedom Ring. Review: Fascinating & Believable - 3.5 stars. Published in 2018, it's interesting how much has changed about Ms. Daniels' life and situation since then. One of the bigger issues, her former attorney, Michael Avenatti, who wrote the foreword and features extensively in the last chapter or two, is now in jail for embezzling from her (and, I think, a few other clients). While this was written with the assistance of a ghostwriter, Stormy's humor and grit shine through. She did not have an easy start to life, and made her own way, starting when she was 17. By 2005 she was a major star in the adult film industry, as well as a much-in-demand featured performer on the strip club circuit. It's hard work, no pun intended, and she is, rightfully, proud of herself for succeeding in a field that chewed up and spit out young women at a horrific rate. The details about her circuits and costumes might be interesting to those unfamiliar with this. She's a survivor. From what she testified to, in DJT's recent election interference trial, the man sexually assaulted her, though SHE decided to say it was consensual. In any event, it wasn't why she went to his hotel suite - she went for dinner. She got no dinner, just many bottles of water. And it sounds like he had as much finesse and stamina as a rutting dog, which fits with his "grab her by the p*ssy) brags. Then he "played" her by dangling a possible gig on Celebrity Apprentice, for some months, calling her periodically. She says she put his calls on speakerphone, so doubtless many people can vouch for this. I believe HER. She's wild about horseback riding (possibly why he switched from calling her honeybunch to "horseface"), and her daughter. She's brilliant in her own way (though her taste in men has been questionable), and overall, someone I'd be proud to know as a friend. Glad I bought the book to give her a small measure of support.

3.5 stars. Published in 2018, it's interesting how much has changed about Ms. Daniels' life and situation since then. I approached this book with an open mind and found that I rather liked and admired the author, who has made the best of a poor start in life. I would certainly take her part against Donald Trump, who does not come out of it at all well.

It's been tough going for Stormy, but she's hit every curveball life's thrown at her right outta the park. She comes across as a beautiful woman on the inside and, of course, the out. The trajectory in terms of life story bears a similitude to those written about in the autobiographies of Tera Patrick and Demi Moore. Jinkies, you think that women have it tough here in India, but living and growing up in the States isn't exactly a cakewalk. I adored the pacing and the crispness of the book; at no point did I feel disinterested or bored. In terms of the design aspects, this book feels like a treat to hold in terms of the quality of the paper used for the cover and the pages. To conclude, reading this was a fabulous experience and Stormy Daniels is a definite badass who deserves to be respected and is worthy of dollops upon dollops of adoration and love.

She is who she is. She doesn't try to appear like a victim, a heroine or a nice lady. And the book is authentic, it is HER history, not just another tale about the Liar. He is just an extra in her movie. Nomlac

Stormy Daniels wrote a very witty and entertaining book. I really admire her for getting through some extremely difficult and challenging experiences in her early life in particular. She's a very intelligent and interesting woman. I would recommend her book and look forward to any others she might write.
