Easy to install.

Need to provide more bolts all four sides to secure the cap, 4 bolts included not strong enough , I had to modified by adding more bolts on three sides to deal with strong wind on the top.

The weld was broken when I opened the box. Warrantee said to send product back. Storms coming in and needed installed and couldn’t wait. Made repairs hoping it stays together.

I just built an outdoor fireplace and used 16" x 16" flute. The flute protrudes a little over an inch from the brick. This cap is advertised as fitting 16" - 19". The 16" square dimension is the size of the mesh, so my flute essentially fits inside the mesh square. I want to point this out to help others understand what the overall size of the base is. It works and looks good, so no issues here.

Product worked as advertised. Hopefully the screws that hold the unit to the chimney will withstand the test of time. That was my only concern. They could beef the area up that holds these screws and the welds that hold the bottom flange. If you over torque the 4 screws it tends to deform the unit. Go until snug and no more.

Liked it very much, had to repair my Chimney then placed my Pro Black on top it covered all area of Chimney looks very good & it came in before time given. Thanks W.Ford

Everything it's description explained. My chimney measures 15 3/4" x 15 3/4" which is a bit smaller than it's designed for so I picked up longer set screws and locked it down and it looks great.

This chimney cap worked as good as I was hoping it would, we have an odd sized chimney that this needed to work with and it did as good as I hoped it would. Metal is thick and solid construction. Have had it installed for a month now, and hopefully it will last for a long time.
