pretty, but flat sounding
Pretty much everything ChaseRamsay says (above/below?) is100% spot-on. I think I paid $45 for the pair, so for $23/speaker, they're not terrible, but I've gotten far superior results from dozens of other similar priced drivers (albeit smaller size). At 6.5in the sound is a bit "bigger" than a smaller cone and takes a bit less power to drive, which is nice — I have them paired with a TPA3110D2 chip-amp (8W) and they fill a small home office just fine... but overall they sound a bit flat, even with a filter on there. For background and spoken-word/talk-radio/podcast, they'd be perfect — especially when incorporated into a build that needed to look "pretty". I'd build another pair if someone wanted them, but I'd reach for other drivers otherwise. I purchased 2 pairs — the first pair came without the whizzer cone as pictured and were returned.

Would have been an outstanding value...but.... Someone lost their mind.
These speakers sound pretty nice after they break in a bit and the specs allow for placement in a number of enclosures or infinite baffle scenarios. Like most full range drivers they have a gradual rising frequency response but additionally they displayed surprising low end for their size. At $40 they were an exceptional value and I was excited to purchase several more, they would have even been a bargain at $50 dollars and an acceptable alternative at $60. That being said, I log back in to reorder thinking I may have found a little gem for low wattage amps for both car and home hifi. Much to my dismay however, the seller pushed the price up to $90.00 a pair. They simply do not compete with tang band, peerless, fountek, Markaudio , fostex or many other manufacturers at this price point. I would have given them a 4-5 star rating had the seller kept things within a reasonable price range, but seeing as they have yet to prove themselves in any real application for any length of time, the fact that they are utilizing very low cost materials for manufacture(very well assembled mind you) and the simple fact that they are marketed as car audio drivers I can't in good conscience recommend them at this price point. That being said, if price is of no concern, they are worth a try for a number of tube , home and auto audio applications. Hopefully they rethink more than doubling the price of this interesting driver
