easily my favorite tool i own
very sharp and well made and precise, this is my favorite tool. I lost mine after 3 years and bought some milwawkee flushcutters as a replacement, but they are so garbage compared to this one. this brand is the best.

Super sharp, just don’t abuse them
I’ve been using these for electronics work and they’re easily some of the sharpest flush cutters I’ve owned. They make really clean cuts on small wires and component leads, which is exactly what I wanted for PCB work. They feel good in the hand and give you nice control when you’re trimming close to a board. I’ve been using them on softer metals like copper leads and small-ish gauge wire and they handle that perfectly. That said, these are definitely not meant for heavy-duty cutting. If you try to use them on thicker pins or harder metals (like some beefy controller board pins), you’re going to dull them out pretty quickly. Ask me how I know… As long as you use them for what they’re designed for, they’re fantastic. Just treat them like a precision tool, not a general-purpose cutter, and they should last you a good while.

UPDATED from "not quite strong as it seems that it should be; good for light wire and plastics"
UPDATE - A rep offered to send a replacement after noticing my unfortunate report on my purchase. The rep from the distributor somehow got my phone number and proceeded to hound me relentlessly in texts to update this review. I THOUGHT I already DID just that yesterday, but got yet another xt this morning. Sheeesh...So when checking back to see if the review had updated - well, it hadn't shown up here. So this is the 2nd attempt to update this review. So they have sent me another one. In the meantime I bought something else to do the job I bought the pliers for in the 1st place, and so have not put the replacement IGAN to any paces yet - and I don't know when I will. Star rating doubled from prior 2-star 'lemon' experience. If I get anymore com from this (or any) rep I'll pull it back down another star; enough is enough. Tough titties if it impacts your sales; the 1st one I bought broke and it slammed the brakes on my job. Life's just not fair sometimes, innit. /UPDATE ORIGINAL REVIEW: Mine broke after two weeks of at best "light duty"; soldering together patch-cables for a guitar pedalboard. While this is a fine and accurate tool for snipping small-gauge wire and plastics, it didn't handle the stress of repeated clipping (of even a moderately hard alloy over 1mm thick; mine broke while attempting to trim an input jack's solder terminal) without imposing stress on the blade joint.

Nice hobbiest cutters.
Nice hobbyist quality, not for professional work IMO. Like the size for ease of use.

Grips on the handles doesn't hold up well.
They work well but in a short amount of time the covering on the handles split and the sharp edges of the handle are against your hands. Replacing them with a different pair because of this.

Good quality but not as thin as I had hoped it to be.
I bought these for use in scale model building, to remove model parts from their sprues with as little deformation to the surrounding plastic as possible. These, cutters are....too thick for my tastes, and although it gets the job done and does little deformation to the surrounding plastic, as little as can be with the thickness of these blades. I had hoped that they wre going to be thinner than they actually are, so in that regard they are a let down. however, they work, and they work well. so and you can do a lot worse than these one for sure! so all in all, I recommend these nippers, but if you are like me, and are extremely picky when it comes to hand tools, then you will be let down by these as well. they claim to be made of high quality steel, and to be honest, cuting plastic is never a hard thing for steel nioppers to do, but I was looking for a set with really thin nipping blade as to lessen deformation when cutting and these are not them. I will keep on looking, but these are my new nippers that are definitely better than the cheap chinese knock-off I had before. i use them all the time while modelling and truly cannot complain about their performance or quality, I just wanted something a little different. Like I said, there are many nippers on Amazon that are way worse than these ones, and they are better build than most nippers I have seen on Amazon too, so you would be hard pressed to find something better in the same price range, so I do recommend them and the seller as they arrived exactly when they were supposed to, the very next day, with Prime!!!

Do not buy broke while cutting PLA for 3d printer
Can't believe it broke after trimming some 3d printer parts which were made of PLA. Ridiculous quality. Do not buy!!!

Best wire cutters I've ever used!
I make chained rosaries, so need approximately 60 little wires per unit, to string the beads. I use 22 gauge wire. These wire cutters are excellent. Because the blades are not recessed, you know exactly where you are cutting, which wastes a lot less wire. They are the sharpest wire cutters I have ever had. They make cutting wire seem like cutting butter! Excellent product! I would definitely buy again!!! I used them to cut hard memory wire and it dulled the blades. I ordered 2 to replace the one I broke. I love these!!!

So far the best I’ve had
Cuts very well, holds up. Jaws don’t open very far but work well for zip ties and such.
