Gaiam Yoga Block

I have two of the purple Gaiam yoga blocks. I mostly use them when I'm doing the yoga DVD from either P90X or P90X3, for support in poses like half moon or anything else where you have to balance on one leg with at least one hand on the ground. (I have really tight hamstrings and sometimes can't touch the floor otherwise.)I'm generally happy with them. (I believe this listing is only for one yoga block, so be mindful of that when making a purchase.) I've had these for a couple of years and they still look the same as when I bought them. They don't slide on the floor (I use them on carpet) and I like that they have a little bit of "give," that they're a little softer than something made of wood. That makes them much more comfortable to use.The only thing I don't love is that they're made from a material that's not very dense, so they're pretty light. I'd love to have a product that was a touch more substantial and/or heavier, if that makes sense.

As someone new to yoga it's not always easy to complete a pose. I found these to be very helpful. They are made of a very nice material. The fabric(?) is soft on your skin and they seem to be pretty sturdy. Even if enough pressure is applied to the point where it dents, it seems to go back to its original form perfectly. I even sit on them for meditation and they seem to keep their shape. I purchased mine in the teal color and it's really a lovely color. On a funny side note, be sure to keep them away from cats. Mine found them to be a wonderful chew toy and now one of my blocks has pin hole teeth marks on all the corners.. lol
