I have purchased the Besteye remote security camera from Avstart to help me monitor my dog while I am away from home. The product was delivered promptly within 2 days. Using the app which I loaded on my iphone, I was able to setup the device and start monitoring within minutes. The user interface is quite intuitive allowing to pan and scroll and zoom the camera, record a single frame or a video clip, or set SD or HD mode. The camera comes equipped with a speaker and a microphone so you can hear what is going on or talk to someone on the other end. The images are clear at daytime, and I was surprised to see even infrared operation at night. I am very satisfied with this product.I am posting a screenshot from my iPhone app showing my dog looking out the front door side window awaiting my return :) I highly recommend this product for indoor uses to anyone wishing to see (and hear) what's going on at their home while they are away.

This is the camera I bought on a whim, and now, I see it is a great value for what I got. It easily connects to the wireless and the directions are flawless. I was able to check the status of my house and locations i have the camera, while I was on vacation. You can record, talk and listen as well, what an awesome feature!

Used this to wartch and monitor home activities.It was pretty easy to set up.i like the navigation view where it turns around and take a continous picture.you can hear and talk remotely through the camera. Sometimes it makes some static noise,i need to know if there is a way to turn it off.but it works fine for my purpose.

Has a nice feature on install to pair to your network without having to change the WiFi network on the phone. It uses sound to tell the camera your WiFi network name! App works well, with a panorama picture as the pan control so you can position the camera to any location without having to manually adjust. Picture quality seems good in daylight while night vision seems quite good. Has an SD slot for storing videos, and stores based on motion or if you ask to record. Also has a cloud service for $$$ per month. Includes a mount so you can attach to a table or wall. Includes the USB cable and wall adaptor. The network connection was a bit shaky when I moved the camera outside, but well within range, not sure why as another WiFi camera we have in the same spot was just fine. Moving inside all was well. Would prefer to see the SD card included for the price.

So this is a screenshot of the permission list of an app that you NEED to install to use a camera to be able to see on your phone. This is absolutely crazy the permission that it need. The only permissions that you can turn off are the microphone and the storage. Everything else you cant touch. Download files without notification, have full network access, prevent phone from sleeping, and receive data from internet. Yea thats going to be a no for me. LET ALONE you cant even close the app. Once you exit it, its still in the app manager, once you close from the app manager, its still running secretly in the background. the one i have currently has nothing like this, at all. Only reason we needed this one is that its going out.

This Avstart camera is definitely impressive ! It’s 1080 P the image quality is very good and the camera is very very easy to operate especially from your iPhone you can tap a small target point where you want the camera to go and it goes. There are several ways of moving the camera to the location you want to see or view from swiping or to tapping on the screen and then a cool panorama picture that is taken when you first set up the camera that you tap on the Panorama and the camera moves to that position it’s so easy. From the motion alerts it catalogs those alerts for review but also it is very easy to review the day as you can scroll the days timeline. You don’t miss anything!It’s a great and Inexpensive IP camera that is easy to set up and use ...you can add more cameras to create a nice video surveillance system when you need too and view from a single app. You definitely will order more to cover different areas for a little cost ...10 of these Avstart cameras will not break the Bank thats for sure. Their small easy to use and place you can’t go wrong ....you know what’s going on at home or when you’re away it tells you with the alerts something is in front of that camera. You check it and boom you know what’s going on !!!!

I was looking forward the playing with this little device after my friend bought a similar one. Initially the setup wasn't too bad. I'm pretty tech-savvy so I didn't struggle too much but once I got to the settings for alerts and overall management of the device I was really displeased. For one once I got the SD card in, and that was not easy to do, I had to reboot it and uninstall and reinstall the App a couple of times before it recognized the brand new card. now that I have decided to return it I am finding it impossible to get the sd card out of the device. In addition, the reviewer that said the permissions are way overboard is indeed correct! Way too grabby for my taste. but the thing that was most annoying is that every 10 seconds it would notify me, even when there was nothing moving in the room oh, and then when I went to the alerts section, it told me there were none. Overall it's not all that great, I can find more fun things to do with thirty bucks than waste it on this.
