Big, brainy science for the littlest listeners. Accurate enough to satisfy an expert, yet simple enough for baby, this clever board book explores the basics of building--from foundation to rooftop--and ties it all to baby's world. Beautiful, visually stimulating illustrations complement age-appropriate language to encourage baby's sense of wonder. Parents and caregivers may learn a thing or two, as well! With tongue firmly in cheek, the Baby Loves Science series introduces highly intellectual science concepts to the littlest learners.

Get Them Started Young
Working in construction, this book is my go-to gift for baby showers. Gives a very basic understanding of the concepts of structural engineering.

Great for Future Engineers
My 1.5 year old son loves this book! I have been wanting to get him this book for actually almost 4-5 months; we've been waiting for it to be available. My husband is an engineer and was skeptical at first about how good this book would actually be; actually he doesn't care for most children's books because he says that the grammar is awful. Being a preschool teacher, I want my son to experience lots of different types of books and stories, and this book is great. It explains complicated concepts in a very basic and fun way using the story of the Three Little Pigs. The illustrations are wonderful and very colorful as well. It's a very easy read that even someone that doesn't know anything about engineering will end up learning something. Also my husband enjoys reading the book to my son almost every night. Love this book and a good value for the money. Totally worth it!

My son's new favorite book!
We love reading this! It has cute pictures and teaches interesting facts for children. I love how this author explains complex topics to children. Now when we build with blocks, we can incorporate some of the basic terms and lessons from this book. I highly recommend it!

"Actually pretty good"- my structural engineer husband
I ordered this with some hesitation because my husband is a stickler for accuracy. As soon as I handed it to him he said "oh no..." but after reading it he said he wanted to take it to work to have clients read it to know what he does! 😂 It got the seal of approval to go in the nursery!

Love this book!
As a structural engineer, this has become my go to book to give to all of my friends kids. It is well thought out and represents real structure in a simplistic easy to understand way.

One of the good ones
There are a LOT of books in this style - Advanced Discipline for Babies, or ABCs of Academic Subject. Baby Loves Structural Engineering and Baby Loves Coding are two that my daughter actually LIKES. They are written about the subject in a way that a baby -- well, a toddler anyway -- can actually relate to. Structural engineering can be written about as building with blocks, which my daughter already loves. Electromagnetism or Nuclear Physics? Less so.Which is to say, this book is one of the good ones. Also a high quality board book printing, which is a format I always appreciate.

Great series
This is a great addition to our baby science library. My kiddo adores these books and has since he was an infant. He is three now and still loves them and learns from them. Highly recommend this book and all the others from this series.

Structural Engineering
2 year old Grand daughter has lots of these books. The Structural Engineering one (like her Papa Joe) is one of her favorites....Also the Airplane/flying book is a super hit. She builds lot of things with her blocks and she has to take an airplane to see Papa Joe - maybe that's why.

Better than I had expected
Although my 6 year old will not understand this on his own and I will have to sit with him for explaining; such books can not only teach children a lot about complex concepts in a very easy manner but also help encourage parent child bonding by reading together.

This book is funny!
I used this book as a somewhat tongue in cheek read aloud to my grade 7 science class. They laugh quite hard when they realize that it is a board book for babies that covers the material they are learning!
