does timer beep every minute

In countdown mode it beeps every minute and during the last minute it beeps every 10 seconds. In the last 10 seconds it beeps each second with a long tone at zero.

Can the timer be set to 3 minutes ? ( or multiples of 1 minute..)

Timer programmes are available in 5,4,1,0 followed by 5mins, 3mins,1min.

Is the watch waterproof or water resistant?

Yes, it is. Never used mine to dive, but works fine for sailing and kiting.
