Item Package Quantity:10 The Orbit Brass Impact Sprinkler on Adjustable Tripod is ideal for watering large areas. Designed for dependability, impact heads have an uninterrupted water flow that are clog-resistant, even when used with dirty or reclaimed water from ponds and canals. Attached to an adjustable tripod, this sprinkler sprays up to a 90-foot diameter. Easily adjust the coverage from a partial section to a full circle. Features a deflector shield for distance adjustment and an anti-backsplash arm to aid in spray pattern and area coverage. A simple twist of the diffuser screw breaks up the water stream, creating larger or smaller water droplets. The tripod base adjusts from 22 to 48 inches in height and retracts to a small size for easy storage. The base connects easily to a 3/4-inch standard garden hose by a gooseneck attachment. The all-metal construction means it will hold up against the typical wear and tear that most impact sprinklers experience, giving you years of dependable use

Advertised as commercial but breaks after first use
I have purchased 4 of these sprinklers in two different batches. They are branded as commercial but fall way short. The plastic is clearly not UV rated as they were used outside for about 60 days, and when I went to fold them up, the plastic that holds the legs in place snapped on 3 out of 4. The plastic was so brittle, it makes me think that the plastic itself is not UV rated. I do not have a degree in plastics engineering, but my experience is that when plastic becomes brittle after being exposed to sunlight for a period of time, its not actually designed to be used outdoors / in direct sun. I will be sending back to Amazon or the manufacturer.

SO ANGRY!
I had brand new sod installed today and was so excited (and depending) to use my new sprinkler. It doesn’t work. It’s horrible. I completely understand the mechanisms and am aware of how to adjust all features. It gets stuck constantly when it should hit the pin and trigger it to change direction. So I tried just using it in 360 mode instead but it still gets stuck and doesn’t keep turning. I’m so angry. Now I can’t water the sod u less I do it by hand and with a whole yard, that really sucks.

Perfect sprinkler for a large raised bed garden
I needed a tripod sprinkler for my raised bed garden. The garden is 35 feet by 50 feet - and there are 12 raised beds. I needed one sprinkler that could reach the whole garden. This Orbit tripod sprinkler fit the bill perfectly. In fact, it was so good, I purchased another to help water my yard. The telescoping head got me the height I needed so the water would clear the tall tomato plants in the garden. Some reviews have complained that the head stops oscillating properly. This has happened to me a couple of times ... but when you have a sprinkler outside that is used a lot, especially in an environment like mine where I am using very hard well water, minerals and other stuff can build up which could prevent the head from functioning properly. This is NOT a defect, its just a fact of life. If you clean the head and spray a little WD-40 on it, it will function exactly as its supposed to do. And, if you live in an area that gets cold in the winter, you have to bring the sprinkler inside over the winter. Doing so will help ensure your sprinkler works properly the next spring.I purchased a separate head to get a different water flow and pattern so that I can use the tripod sprinkler for other watering needs. This is a great sprinkler, and I highly recommend it.

Functionally good one workable design flaw.
I wish I could give this a 5 star review but it had one significant design flaw that I did not like. The hose attachment site is an aluminum tube with a simple single flared end and not particularly stable. I bought a smaller zinc headed version first with a leak that came out of the back of the sprinkler fitting I replaced it with this unit and did not have problems. Other than that I love the flexibility and ease of set up. The camera tripod style is really nice. If you get one without fitting issues I think you will be fine. Just dont be rough with it.

Quality issue and overly optimistic advertising performance.
I bought 2 of these and had to return one of them immediately because the sprinkler head was bent. The other is working somewhat ok , but I find that the impulse sprinkler head frame is very lightly built and the reversing mechanism is flat out tinny. When the water pressure is in the 45 psi range, with it set-up for partial circle operation it has cot up on it's reversing mechanism and stopped moving, putting all of the water in one spot. The advertisement says that this sprinkler will cover up to a 50 foot radius, I would like to know what the water pressure is that's needed to get that distance out of it. Must be close to 80 psi because at 60psi It's not doing anything close to that. I've ordered the Sommerland model, $8 cheaper, and used it as well. The Sommerland sprinkler head is built much better. The stand is of equal quality and the area it can cover is the same. It's diameter of the nozzle and water pressure that controls the distance. Neither sprinkler heads match the quality of the Rain Bird head that I have.

Well made but not suitable for low water pressure
Well made tripod and easy to use. Material weight and durability seems excellent for the price. Would prefer the option for a plastic impact head (e.g. a RainBird P5R) for low water pressure applications. I'm on a well and sometimes the water pressure drops momentarily where the brass head stops impulsing and gets stuck. Then the water just gushes out with no distribution spray pattern... then 30 minutes later when you check on it, it's just one big puddle at the base of the tripod.

Worked for me!
I was a bit on the fence after reading some of the reviews, but I have about .5 an acre and watering can be cumbersome, so I decided to give this product a chance.Just arrived today - unboxing was very simple and all of the parts (legs & sprinkler head) we’re wrapped very well. It’s true, there are zero directions in the package. But honestly if you need to go on YouTube to figure out how to put everything together you may want to consider having someone else water your lawn for you.First set up was very easy - sprinkler head works fine, sturdy legs, and the device did not tip over (as stated in some other reviews). Also, there are adjustable clips on the sprinkler head for easy adjustment of spraying range.Only thing I’d suggest is that you make sure to put the filter device into the part of the sprinkler where you connect the water hose. If you leave the filter out, then you’ll have quite a bit of leakage at the bottom of the base where the water hose is connected.Overall, great device and I’d definitely recommend for anyone who has a good size yard or garden.

Lots of problems
Several problems; 1) It leaks at the hose attachment (See photo). 2) The unit is not heavy enough so the water pressure makes it tip over unless you put something on the legs (I do have 70 PSI in my pasture). 3) The sprinkler head gets stuck rather than returning, so we only use it for going 360 degrees now. I sent for a replacement, so I will update once I get the new one.

Worth the Extra
By far the best tripod impulse sprinkler I've had in fifty years of gardening. Perfectly stable despite no prongs to stick into grass. Only slight problem is the need for a male thread connector to join to a standard hozelock hose.

UK customers should avoid....
After about 30 mins under mains pressure, heaad stopped circulating. Not fit for purposeAnd to add insult to injury, I'd missed the fact that it was sourced in the US, so would have had to pay postage to the US for return of defective itemWholly unsatisfactory

No instructions
Good quality and very sturdy tripod, just a shame that there are no instructions on how to adjust coverage. Delivered in just a plain bow with nothing on there either.

Well made
A well made product that works very effectively once you've mastered how it operates. Not easy to fathom - even with 'instructions' on the box.

Works Great
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I love this sprinkler. It is all metal except the leg clamps and very adjustable. I haven’t had any issues with it moving around once set up. Great range too, close to 50ft on furthest setting - see video.
