NUT IS REMOVED COUNTER CLOCK TO REMOVE NUT, SPRAY WITH WD-40. Your welcome!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This Edger Replacement Blade was very reasonably priced! Now instructions that is very clear and concise. 1st spray the nut . Allowing the WD-40 to soak the treads of the shaft. The back of the replacement Blade didn't specify to remove of the Original blade.. it is Lefty to Loosen the Nut. I sprayed the nut the night before and the next morning that Nut came off in 15 seconds! I haven't used the Edger with the new Blade yet. But I would definitely recommend this black and decker replacement blade!( Black and Decker, please clarify the instructions on the back of the package. Its very vague. And suggest spraying it with a wd40

A great blade that will bring your Edger Hog back to life
This edging blade has brought my Edge Hog back to life. I'm not sure if others are the same as I am, but I had no idea you were supposed to replace edger blades. So I was using the same blade for approximately 6 years without replacing it. The grass would somewhat cut, but it would still look a little rough and I would look at my neighbors' yards and notice that their edges were always finer and straighter than mine. So I finally hopped on Amazon to look for Blades and came across this one. After receiving it and replacing the old blade with it, I realized that the old blade had simply worn down and was an inch shorter than this one. Research showed me that blades have a tendency to wear down from grinding against the concrete constantly.After taking it for a spin for the first time, I could not believe how powerful my Edger Hog was pushing through the edge of the driveway and grass. I also couldn't believe how straight of a cut resulted from replacing the blade. The first cut took quite a bit of time, but it was because I was establishing a new trench for the grass and dirt to conform to. Ever since that cut, I've been able to easily plow through all edges in my yard without much of an effort and the cut still looks sharp and straight.I'm much relieved to have made the choice to purchase this blade and it's helped me to understand not only how often to replace it in the future, but how to maintain the one I currently own to prolong its usefulness.
