Happy purchase and a couple of lessons in my first test.
I have a gas / propane portable generator for backup power and a 12 circuit transfer switch. To help avoid going out in a storm, during frequent outages, I checked out several solar generators and settled on the Jackery 5000. Although the unit arrived in my driveway with a fairly mangled box (thanks a lot FedEx), the packaging protected the unit and all was good on the inside. When powering it on the first time, it had about 26% battery out of the box, so I'd recommend a full charge before trying it out. Plugging the included charging cable in, the input was around 1400 watts and charged the battery full in just around 2.5 hours. The good stuff. The unit appears to be well made and fairly easy to move around on it's wheels and included handle. Lots of options for output, including 20A 120v plugs, a 14-30 120/220 30A outlet, and a 14-50 220V 50A outlet among others. My manual transfer switch has the 14-30 outlet. After the full charge, I ran the unit in my manual transfer switch as a test, connected to several rooms, the well pump, forced air oil furnace, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen outlets and living room outlets. The TV and fridge ran the entire time. I tested the large draw items like the well pump, heat, microwave and coffee maker throughout the day with no issues. The app was easy to use and showed I'd have approximately 10 hours with average use.. Awesome! One drawback and concern is leaving the charging cable connected when switching the AC on in the unit to the transfer switch. I noticed, when switch back to grid power, the unit wasn't charging. It's supposed to charge and also provide pass-through up to 1800W if connected to the grid. Upon further inspection, I noticed when switching over to AC power on the Jackery, the charging cable immediately trips the GFCI outlet. I looked into this a bit, and it might be how my main panel is configured using a bonded neutral and the transfer switch does not have an independent ground, or maybe that's just me. In any case, I'll solve that eventually by swapping out the outlet or perhaps seeing if an electrician can isolate the transfer switch ground. Of course, once I got this unit, I totally caught the bug and wish I sprung for the automatic transfer switch and solar panels. Maybe that's next, although note, I heard the panels don't do a true passthrough and can affect battery performance down the line if relied on all the time. I also found the automated transfer switch appears to have a proprietary input/output cable which may limit my own abilities or require a separate generator connection and interlock in case I need to rely on the gas / propane unit for backup but that's a project for another day. In short, or not so short, this unit is awesome, expandable, gives lots of options for input and output and appears to be very well made. I'm very happy I purchased it and although, inclement weather isn't always ideal, feel I can rely on this to provide easy and reliable power when the moment arises. Is it worth the investment? Definitely, yes!

Fire haazzard
My son bought the 3000w system and on the third use it caught fire and burned down his entire camp site.

Great features. Not working so far.
This is a really nice unit with a ton of features and capabilities. It is really heavy so glad it has wheels. I have issues though. Ever since I got it, it shuts off the ac outlets at 2 am. I only have a computer and screens and office stuff plugged into it. Below 200 watts. Working with support but takes them forever to get back to me. They did a firmware update and now it has stopped turning off the outlets at 2 am but just randomly turns off the ac outlets now. No error, just turns off. After two days of this, no reply from support. For the cost of this unit, very disappointing!! I’ll update but not good for the first two weeks of testing.
