How long is the caterpillar and the butterfly?

Hello, We have checked with the manufacturer and they stated the caterpillar at the top and the one at the bottom are both about 6" long and the Butterfly is about 10" long. Thanks

how big are the pieces?

They vary. Some, like the butterfly and sun, are about 3 inches long. Others are between 1-2 inches long. It's not a set I let my three year old take around the house. I'm afraid he'd drop a piece and we could have trouble finding it. I also wouldn't let an infant play with this alone; they could easily fit the smaller cloth pieces in their mouth. We use this at bedtime. I read the story, hand over each piece as it's mentioned and he builds the story. We love it. 
