Delivers on all specifications!!!
Phenomenal projector! Very bright and does well in ambient light. Picture is crystal clear. Colors are rich and deep. Fan is pretty quiet, not noticeable at all. Getting about 93inch throw from 10.5 feet away...one more foot and I would be able to fill the full 100 inch screen I have. The only con is that there is no horizontal keystone adjustment for projecting at angles, but vertical keystone is great! No blurring around the edges. 1080p streaming looks like 4K! HDR is awesome with my ps4! And input lag is lightning fast, with no noticeable lag when gaming. Even in eco mode, the brightness is more than enough...even WITH ambient light. Can’t go wrong for less than $650, this is a steal! 02/02/2019 Just tried God of War in HDR and the picture is crystal clear! Detail is amazing! BUY THIS PROJECTOR!!!!

Perfect so far
I had to reorder this item because I never received it the first time because of ordering it from a third party. However when I put in the order through Amazon I received the item early. It was easy to set up and came with no instructions, but just started pushing buttons and was easy to figure out. I recommend that you don't change anything on the projector settings. I also recommend going on YouTube and diy on making a screen out of blackout cloth for 30 dollars you will not regret it. As for the picture it looks like the quality of a computer screen which is 1080i. No issues and qoute me on this I Will never go back to buy it a television again I like a larger screen over a sharper 4 k screen. The price is worth it because of the higher lumens I needed being next to a french door and especially great because of the higher contrast ratio compared to the cheaper models. Pay the extra 100 bucks for this model. Thanks and enjoy watching.

HDR is that missing "thing"
Long time reader, first time reviewer. I’ve owned a couple lower-end Optoma HD projectors over the last decade and always wished for a price comparable 90" flat screen TV (Because... Light). When viewing HDR content on this projector I just don't feel the same longing. Netflix, VUDU and XBoxX games offer content to take full advantage of the HDR . The contrast and black levels are on par with the LED TVs we’ve got around the house. Amazing! For non-HDR stuff the brightness and the picture quality still make it a worthy upgrade from my HD66. My ceiling mount throw distance is 10’ and it will do 90” when wide open which is fine for me as my screen is only 92”. Can’t say that I’ve noticed, or even quite sure I’ve taken advantage of, the 16ms gaming lag claim. I’m not that gud where it’s going to help me from getting killed by 11 year olds anyway. Even after research, I was still afraid that the 25’ HDMI cables I have running through the walls would have to be replaced. Usage proved that “High Speed” 1.4 cables handle the 4K signal and HDR just fine. XBOX USERS NOTE: Switching to 4K in the Xbox settings will appear not to work and revert. No worries, it’s just that the projector doesn’t get around to showing the picture again in enough time. Just memorize where the “OK” button is on the screen and select it from memory while the Optoma waits to sync . Trust me. EDIT: If every piece of equipment in your setup chain is not HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 compliant, you wont get 4K signal and no HDR. Pros: • Amazing HDR • Bright enough in twice the amount of ambient light as my HD66 • 4K down sampling is still a noticeable improvement in picture Cons: • Sometimes must switch in and out of HDR manually, keep remote handy • Fans a tad noisy on full blast Dynamic settings but not crazy loud • Custom user settings - would prefer that U1,2,3 buttons on top of remote could be mapped to select programmed user presets instead of just mappable to bring up one individual setting like brightness, contrast, etc. <-this is the WTF moment, 5th star killer for me /hth

Amazing picture and a great price!
Bought this a few weeks ago refurbished which can always make you a little hesitant since it isn't brand new but plugged it in and got it rolling. It has worked perfectly since I have had it. Color is Crystal clear and bright. Can even watch it during the day time as it is very bright the high lumens. Gaming on it is great as well with very lag at 16ms or something. Can get down to 8ms lag time with 120 fresh rate instead of 60 but don't know how to customize that or if I would need to upgrade my hdr PS4 to the full pro 4k PS4 to achieve this. All in it is a great product and happy I purchased and you can beat the price as well! Great deal!!

Lamp Failure
As many others my Projector died shortly after warranty expired. It turns on work for a few minutes and it shuts off without warning with the msg " lamp Failure". However when you wait another 5 minutes you can turn it on and the picture is great and lamp works. After a few minutes the projector it turns off. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that because it is after the warranty they will charge me something like $200 just to look at it plus additional expenses to fix it. If only I read some of the negative reviews before I spent $800 on this piece of junk I would probably have a good quality projector now and saved lots of money and time dealing with this companies' not so customer oriented customer service they have.

Picture Perfect!!
Our family aren't TV people but rather love a good movie night. We had a huge empty wall we debated a large screen TV but knew it would be off 95% of the days/nights...... we opted for a screen and projector. BEST decision ever, between the cost of the projector and the 120" screen (purchased directly from Best Buy), it was actually less expensive than most high quality flat screen TVs. My husband recently pointed out "motion blur" that some NICE TVs have, he researched the heck out of the projectors to make sure there wasn't any blur or lag. He also plays video games. This was honestly the best thing we bought for our entertainment needs!!!!

For HD 1080p gaming and watching movies, this projector does the job. It great brightness and can even work fairly well in the afternoon projecting on a wall that does not have direct sunlight hitting on it. The 1080p resolution is good enough for most gaming needs, the color reproduction is great. I would recommend this projector.

I read countless reviews on this projector, rare rainbow effect, 4k input and down sampling, hdr, 3d, sounds great right? Wrong! It had the rainbow effect every time there was white on the screen, the remote would not work, i changed the batteries with fresh batteries in case. It would not turn it on or off, could not access the menu or change the input. On top of this, the projector would lose it's picture signal constantly. I tested with 4 different hdmi cables. None of them had this issue on my other projector. So because it constantly loses signal, when trying to launch a 3d movie it fails the hdcp handshake and it wont run the disk. What a total waste of time, thank god I was able to return this crap. Do yourself a favor and avoid this projector like the plague.

For the price this projector has a great picture quality (can OUTPUT 4K) and if you are somone like me who also wanted to play games, this projector will output 1080p 144hz (more stable at 120hz for me) and has 6ms delay which is unbeatable. Only wished it had better audio output than just a aux port.
