The gold leaf has visible seams, and there are rub marks on the sides that contrast with the gleam of the overall tray (read: they do not look like an.Intentional antiqued effect, rather just gold leaf that was rubbed during shipping). When I first picked it up, the mirror also moved/rattled. In my opinion, the craftsmanship does not align with the price tag. It's a shame because this could have been the perfect piece where I needed it. Will be returning the item.
