Incompatible with modern motherboards. Check your board before purchasing
The product is poorly described. I was hoping to use this product with my TT Pacific W4 waterblock so I could use my Asus Aura software to control the RGB instead of the awful TT RGB Plus software that I'm using now.On delivery I quickly realised that the product was incompatible with my Asus X470 Prime Pro motherboard as it doesn't have a 3 pin addressable RGB header, and instead has the 4 pin 12v header. It is not made clear what motherboards this product is compatible with and a list of boards would be helpful to avoid disappointment.I'm now back on my old controller with its awful software wondering why I bought a Thermal Take product in the first place.

Not compatible?
Is not recognised by x470 msi m7 gaming. Return it and order another one. Same thing. I bought the corsair commander and never looked back.

Works great.
Only buy this controller if you have Riing plus fans, Floe Riing AIO Water cooler or both and you want to connect it to you motherboard with an addressable header, you then need to use the motherboards RGB software to control the leds, the Thermaltake software will not reconise the conrtoller.Note there are 2 different mainboard signal bridge cables in the box, the manaul says for GIGABYTE RGB Fusion use cable D, I found this was wrong on my Gigabyte Aorus mobo, i had to use cable C, which is the same as the Asus fitting.Once everything was sorted it all works great , i hope this helps.

Impressive but useless at the same time.
Thermaltake rgb products are not easily identifyable and this controller is not an exception especially like me if you bought the radiator riing floe 240 or 360 premium and wanted to match the case fans that were supplied... they never will and this controller needs a 5v header on the mobo not a 12v as per the rest of the fans. I have now thrown this away and spent a good. deal of money trying to match the impressive fan rings with the individually addressable 12 rgb leds of the PREMIUM floe riing radiator with 3 more separates to fit the 7 port controller the radiator 360 Aio comes with. Look for the PREMIUM brand and 12v. Expensive but so worth it else all others, although 5v are only 2 addressable rgb leds on a clear rather than opaque ring. Smart... but not as impressive.
