Timing Belt Kit for Replacement For Honda CRV (1997 1998 1999 2000 2001)

This seemed like very good deal when I purchased this kit. In hindsight it was not worth the savings. The water pump that came in this kit did not fit my 98 Honda CRV like the product description said it should and the timing belt failed in less than a year. Since the timing belt failed in my zero clearance engine 3 valves were bent and I ended up having to do a head job on the engine. I also ended up replacing every part in this kit except the 3 drive belts and the timing belt tensioner. Be every careful when buying these kits for your vehicle because the initial savings is not worth the future costs.

buy dealer parts don't cheap out like i did, problems with this kit as follows, belt is wrong size has right part number and teeth but compared to old factory bet it is around a inch longer, water pump leaks after a few months. kit is garbage.

Belts fit .......Pump fit .....Seals fit ......Gaskets fit .......Gates and other REAL brand names, all quality stuff.Only complaint, kit should have have included RTV water pump sealer.Not a professional mechanic, but I had everything on hand.Got it done. The ride drives, smiles all around ...... including mine ....... as a job done well with good stuff, has only happy people all around.Great kit at an awesome price. Enough said ..............

Overall a very good kit. Acc belts were cheapos/no names, but the timing belt was made by Continental and seemed to be very high quality.Only complaint was for an item not list as included... which is the Exh.-manifold to Exh.-pipe donut gaskits which were not tall enough to actually seal.Would buy again3-day shipping was bogus. Ordered it at 10:30am Fri., they did not ship it till Sat, so did not get it till Tues.

I looked around local and on the Internet for the most complete kit at the best price. I usually find what I need on ebay but the kit offered on amazon beat everyone's price by quite a bit. The kit arrived faster than expected and each part is a quality piece that installed with no problems. I also purchased the crank bolt tool that was offered right with the kit. Even with the tool and shipping it was still cheaper than just the kit any where else.Thank Mark W.

This timing belt kit is perfect for my 2000 honda crv it has leaks and 265000 miles on it. The mechanica did the work and charge me only $250 dollars and very happy.
