Stop Watering Manually
First and foremost, this thing saves me a ton of time and works flawlessly when it's used per its operating instructions. I have an entire section of my yard that is being watered with this and I think it's fantastic. An important note in the product manual is that there is a 5 minute requirement between each water channel where the water must be off. This appears to be due to the fact that if there is too much residual water pressure in the switching mechanism, it could cause unexpected results or even operation failure. However, if you do experience this it's a quick fix. Simply disconnect all hoses, remove any caps from unused channels, and then hold the distributor so that the 6 channels are toward the ground. This will clear all water pressure from the distributor and it should resume normal operation. That said, this distributor will work with any timing device provided you program the timer to allow for the minimum 5 minute interval between each zone. It may seem silly but considering the fact that you do not need to power this product I think it's rather ingenious. I have several custom length hoses connected to sprinklers around my yard, all running back to this distributor and a Gardena water computer. I have been very satisfied with the results.

Really Well Built Multi-Zone Irrigation Switch
Bought to help automate watering multiple zones using an Eve Aqua and it works really well for that purpose. It easily handles my six zones by having the Eve Aqua run six schedules back to back that are spaced 15 minutes apart to allow the mechanical switch enough time to fully seat itself into the next zone (it uses water pressurization/depressurization to switch). Overall this thing is really well built and has served me really well for about a year now. Using this with an Eve Aqua allows for seamless multi-zone watering integrated with Apple's HomeKit.

Jury still out - ony in use for a few weeks so far
Needed to replace older version of Gardena Distributor, that had stopped working. This seems to be good so far. I would suggest getting the quick connects for all hose ends as it is a bit difficult to get your hands in to tighten traditional hose ends onto this. I am currently using traditional hose ends with plumbers teflon tape, no leaks. But most likely will convert to the quick connects for next season. I like that this can be positioned horizontally or vertically - I think vertical positioning may alow for quicker changes between zones. Overall so far, good product

Reliable, cheaper than an irrigation system which works on electricity
This is the latest version of Gardena's water distributor which I've used for over 20 years. I had two of the earlier model, each lasting about 10 years. My second one began to miss its moving to the next outlet. Seems the mechanism is the same as the previous model, except it's oriented horizontally. Water pressure compresses a spring while the water flows through one outlet. When water is stopped, the spring is released, moving the device to another outlet, so that when water is again turned on the water flows to the new outlet, and so on. I have the Gardena water timer (a separate device) set to turn the water on and off. These water timers last for about 5 years. I also use the Gardena moisture sensor which works fine. I find my setup reliable and much cheaper in price than setting up an irrigation system which relies on electricity.

Works as described !!
This eliminates the need to buy multiple timers and tap splitters. I can link up six different zones (if you would) to water accordingly. I use it for 1. Front yard garden bed, 2. Soaker hose for vegetable raised bed. 3. drip irrigation for potted plants. 4. Front Lawn Sprinklers 5. Rear lawn sprinklers 6. sides sprinklers. All with one-timer !!! I am using link tap with it and works great... Just make sure you have some pressure on the receiving side to trigger the shift output from one to another.

Does not work
DO NOT BUY. This is a terrible product. I have spent hours trying to get it to work. Talked with Canadian distributor. They sent me another one and it doesn't work either. IT WILL NOT ADVANCE. I live in the city and have good water pressure. TERRIBLE PRODUCT. Gardena should be ashamed
