Best Recommended Headphones if you're a budding Musician/artist/Production Engineer
I was recommended by a very good friend of mine (a production Engineer by profession). And as a Mixing and Mastering Engineer myself. I'd say these pairs are just beautiful. For Entertainment: You'd Love how spaced-out the music sounds when you wear em plus the sound(music) that you hear is actually how the original production sound like. For Professionals: If you are looking for a good way to start your own music production. This is the one I'd recommend you if you're just caught up in the middle of numerous pair of headphones out there, not knowing which one to choose, as you try to pave your way in the music industry.

When you pad ATH 50x then you get DT 770 Pro 😌
Honestly it’s good but ATH 50x rocks coz I have both and ATH 50x is slightly more louder and clear. If you apply PAD to ATH 50x then that is DT 770 Pro. Thank you

Well balanced and flat sounding headphone
I bought the 250 ohms version for mixing my tracks and I can already notice the difference now... Very flat sounding with a little bit of highs than usual... Bass response is fairly good, not your regular cheap bass booming one... You might need a headphone amp to go with these to boost the volume a bit... I am using a scarlett 2i2 interface and it's just that I have to keep the volume 20% more than usual... It might have issues when you are monitoring your tracks.... For listening to music, it adds to your audiophile experience which is quite impressive... Although I don't prefer closed back headphones for regular listening as they arent comfortable... About the comfort, this is like any other prof closed headphone which aren't very comfortable when used for long hours but hey! I have seen worse.... *After 6 plus months of use* Great pair of headphones which can be used for monitoring tracks and not mixing as these might give you an enhanced experience which won't be at par with the real time experience

The "Studio Legend" lives up to its name!!!
Perfect sound quality, truely flat except too bright/sharp highs (if your ears are not used to it or you are too young). Only gripe is that the coil part of the cable starts too early and the coil is always between the hand and body which is uncomfortable. Still a legend!

Disappointed – Same Issue Twice with Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm
I have been a loyal customer of Beyerdynamic and have purchased the DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm headphones twice in the last four years. Unfortunately, both units developed the exact same issue: after about one year of use, the left side stopped producing sound completely. The first time this happened, I thought it was my own fault. But when the second pair failed in the same way after similar usage, it became clear this is not an isolated problem. I tried contacting Beyerdynamic via email for support and repair options, but I never received a response. I also don’t know where to send these headphones for repair in India. It’s very disappointing because otherwise the sound quality is excellent and the comfort is great. I invested in this model twice because of its reputation, but the reliability and after-sales support have been very poor in my experience. Request to Seller and Beyerdynamic: Please help me with repair or replacement options. This is my second purchase of the DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm model, and I really want to continue using Beyerdynamic products if there is proper support available. Message to Other Buyers: Be aware of this recurring issue. If you’re considering the DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm, check the warranty and make sure there is clear service support in your country before purchasing.

Have to pair with an amp with equalizer like sound blaster g6
I am not a sound professional, bought these for listening to music, man they are out of the world, but in order to enjoy these you must have a headphone amp with equalizer, for me i chose sound blaster g6 , and then you experience the super treble with the bass, without equalizer the treble will kill your ears, u need to dial them down, this headphone is just amazing, go for it guys

I do have an audiophile ears, but I do not own any audiophile equipment. Recently I bought a Yeti Plus microphone that has an audio jack for monitoring audio. So, I plugged in my Bose QC35 headphones, using the 3.5 mm audio cable, and it sounded OK. But, it didn't sound great. I decided to subscribe to Apple Music to see what the music sounds like via this setup. It was nothing to write home about. I then plugged the same QC35 headphones to my 2021 Apple M1 Pro MacBook Pro (14"), and it sounded exactly like it did out of the Yeti X microphone's headphone jack. I decided to research and see why the quality was so low. I don't normally listen to music, but I couldn't imagine that the Apple Music streamed (even at the highest selectable quality) would be so unremarkable. So, I looked up the impedance of the audio jack of the Yeti X microphone, and I realized that it's a high-impedance audio output. Then, I looked up the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro specs, and what do you know? It also has a high-impedance output audio jack (unlike the 2020 M1 MacBook and MacBook Pro). So, then I googled what impedance should the headphones have for high-impedance audio outputs and learned that the impedance of the headphones should be at least 8-10 times of the impedance of the audio output in Ohms. Hence, I started the search for the high-impedance headphones. I've read hundreds of reviews, and I finally found the DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm headphones. They were well reviewed, they were relatively inexpensive, they they had a version with 250 Ohm of impedance (which is about 8 times as high as the audio output of the Yeti X audio jack). So, I decided to try these headphones. I ordered them and received them the next day via Amazon Prime shipping. As soon as I plugged them in and started the stream from Apple Music, my jaw dropped. This is what I was looking for, and here it is. Unbelievable I could get a jack pot on the first attempt for under $200 and especially becasue they are made in Germany. How is this even possible? Now, are they comfortable to wear? To me, they are a little too tight. Are they worse than the Bose QC35 when it comes to comfort? Maybe Bose QC35 are a little more comfortable. But, when it comes to the sound, OMG. There is no comparison. Unless you want to pay many times more for premium high-impedence headphones just to get a better fit, then go ahead and get the ones for $1500, $2500, etc. Otherwise, these are amazing when it comes to the audio quality. Can anyone tell that these are better than the QC35? Yes, anyone can tell unless you use these 250 Ohm ones with a low-impedance audio output like in smartphones, older MacBooks, etc. Now, my son has a 2020 M1 MacBook Air, which is an excellent laptop, but it has a low-impedance audio jack output. So, for my son, I've ordered an 80-ohm version to compare to my 250-ohm version. I will let him decide which one to go with. I'd suggest getting both the 80-Ohm and the 250-Ohm version and compare them side by side - as long as you are getting these headphones for a decent piece of audio equipment. If you are getting them for an iPhone (not sure why you would), then maybe you should go with the lowest-impedence version. Edit: I've now compared the 250 Ohm version to the 80 Ohm version. In the beginning, I couldn't tell any difference when using them with my Yeti X microphone's high-impedance audio out jack and the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro high-impedance audio jack. However, the more I listened to both, the more I started hearing the difference. I then switched to testing both 250 Ohm and the 80 Ohm headsets exclusively with the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro's high-impedance audio jack because it turned out that the Yet X audio jack shows its shortcomings when music with serious bass is played out of it. In my opinion, the 250 Ohm headset reproduces the sounds more accurately. When listening to Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes (on Apple Music lossless), I could actually hear some imperfection in the bass guitar (like the string was moved under the player's finger accidentally, resulting in a little distortion), while I couldn't hear this through the 80 Ohm headset. When listening to Bohemian Rhapsody Remastered in 2011 on Apple Muisci (lossless), It appears that mids and the highs are a bit dulled down through the 80 Ohm headset, whereas they are crystal clear through the 250 Ohm headset. We are talking here very subtle differences that can only be detected while listening to the same piece over and over again via both headsets (back to back). It appears that the best songs recommended for testing headsets are: 1. Bohemian Rhapsody Remastered (2011) by Queen. ... 2. Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. ... 3. Feels Like We Only Go Backwards by Tame Impala. ... 4. Heroes (2017 Remaster) by David Bowie. ... 5. No Time for Caution by Hans Zimmer. ... 6. Diamonds From Sierra Leone by Kanye West. ... 7. Now We Are Free by Hans Zimmer Additionally, I was using the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro's audio jack (which auto-senses high-impedance and low-impedance headphones). I'm not sure what it does for the 80 Ohm headphones: does it consider them low-impedance or high-impedance because, in reality, they are medium-impedance headphones. Compared to other laptops, the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro probably has a decent-quality pre-amp and DAC similar to inexpensive (less than $200) standalone DACs with pre-amps. So, perhaps to hear the difference between the 80 Ohm and 250 Ohm versions of this headset, one should use decent audio equipment. My son hasn't yet tested the two headsets with his 2020 M1 MacBook Air, so I'm not sure which one he decides on. I will post another update later.

These headphones have almost become a 'gateway drug' into the world of hi-end, audiophile-grade headphones, and it is incredibly easy to see why. First and foremost, the price of (approx) £100 represents exceptional value for money. I'm a headphone guy, and can think of few headphones which offer so much for such relatively little in terms of initial investment. Make no mistake, the DT770 Pro is a HUGE step up from headphones in the £60 - £90 range. Not that there's anything wrong with cheaper headphones, but the Beyer's are in a different league entirely... Second, they are incredibly well built. BeyerDynamic have gone for utilitarian design rather than fashion statement, and this is a good thing. From the sturdy headband to the supremely comfortable ear cups to the thick, high quality cable, these cans will stand up to real world abuse. Finally, and most importantly, the quality of sound is phenomenal. Some listeners have criticised the DT770's as having weak mid range response, but honestly, even though I agree with the criticism, I can honestly say it has not spoiled my listening enjoyment in any way. I listen to an eclectic range of music, from the harshest Norwegian Black Metal, to Dark Wave & Gothic Rock to the bleepiest synthesizer music & chiptunes to the cheesiest 80's pop - these headphones exceed my expectations. There is a price to pay, however, and that is: For headphones in this category, you really do need to provide as hi-fidelity source signal as possible. Don't imagine for one minute that your 128k MP3 files will sound great through these headphones - they will not. The DT770's will show up a poor quality source for what it is. My personal setup consists of a laptop connected to a USB DAC & AMP combo which drives the DT770's. I'm also quite specific about buying digital music in as higher quality as I can. The FLAC vs 320k MP3 can be debated all day, but my own preference is 24-bit or 16-bit FLAC files. Regarding the weak mids, some people prefer to introduce a software or hardware EQ to sort this out. Whilst this may be ok, I'd rather not introduce noise into the chain and enjoy the sounds as rendered by the DT770's unaided. Your mileage may vary, of course... So to summarise, you really can't do much wrong by investing in a pair of DT770's if you want to move up to the next level, but don't want to sink £500 or more on a set of headphones. Also, don't be scared off by the 250 Ohm rating. In my experience, I have yet to find a source which struggles to drive them. My ageing Nexus 4 phone will drive them, albeit with a maxed out volume (so I avoid this generally), my cheap USB audio interface (Lexicon Alpha) drives them superbly and even my laptop (HP Elitebook 8560w) will drive them on full volume, but again - I'd rather just use my USB DAC & Amp (Fiio E7). If you're in the market for a fantastic pair of closed back headphones, I'd have a serious look at the BeyerDynamic DT770's. Recommended without hesitation.
