For someone who has a predisposition to cold, this tea is a godsend. It’s not so much a tea as it is a herbal infusion filled with the best of herbs & spices to combat a nasty cold/cough or any respiratory issue for that matter. I drink it more as a preventive measure for cold.One of the main reasons I ordered this tea was for its ingredients. While Tulsi (Holy basil) is fairly common in many teas, the inclusion of Calendula, Echinacea & Licorice (Mulethi) was what thrilled me to bits. And the turmeric and ginger are welcome additions. All of the above are natural ways to prevent & fight cold but they also have a multitude of other benefits. For example, Calendula, apart from being a cure for cold, is anti inflammatory and inflammation is the root of most diseases. For me Echinacea is as much a cold antidote as much it is an elixir for the skin. Licorice is an adaptogen (a herb that helps the body cope with stress) which means it is a handy herb for anything ranging from cancer to weight loss to high cholesterol, and so on.The tea delivers all the ingredients it promises. I opened the seal and the strong aroma of the blend hit me. It was, in a word, heavenly. I brewed it for 5 mins and the turmeric did its magic to produce a rich yellow flush. There’s no one ingredient that dominates the taste and all seem to be in a perfect ratio. I steeped it for a second time for about 8 mins and it was still reasonably strong and aromatic. I wouldn’t recommend it steeping for the 3rd time but one could try.I generally don’t add anything to the infusion but a hint of lemon & a drop of honey are on my list when I actually have cold. Hopefully, regular consumption of this tea would strengthen my immunity and I can avoid that scenario altogether!In particular, I would recommend this tea to singers, teachers and people who use their voice a lot. It is very soothing on the throat. And those who are generally low on immunity would also benefit greatly from this tea.The seller sent a lavish sample of ‘Chamomile Mint green tea’ along with this order! Totally unexpected and a wonderful surprise!

I bought a total of 5 teas from The Indian Chai. The Indian Chai is an Indian company founded in 2016.They are based in Kolkata. They export their products to Thailand, Singapore, etc. and import their products from Hong Kong, China, Sri Lanka, etc.Cough and Cold was the first tea I used because I was having cough and fever.This is a herbal tea and relieves common cold, fever, headache, cough, flu, chest congestion. It is made of Echinacea, Calendula, Turmeric and Oregano which are good for soothing sore and scratchy throats.This tea has antibiotic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-carcinogenic properties. It is also full of Vitamin C and antioxidants.It increases saliva flow to aid digestion and prevent stomach issues. I dont write the review if the product is good, but when i find a product which is repetitively at fault, i am forced to post the review.This is not the first time i found stones in the "The Indian Chai" product, before i ordered The chamomile tea i found bundle of them, i didnt write thinking it can be one time mistake but now, i ordered this Cough & Cold tea, since i am suffering from Cold & Cough, i thought to order this tea to give me some relief and instead you find STONES what would you do? Get more sick because of the unhygiene practice followed by the brand repetitively!!!!!!Dont know what one should expect nowadays when there is already a PandemicI think this brand should be banned from selling at amazon or elsewhere.Please dont buy the products from " The Indian Chai" if you dont want to fall SICK!!!
