It really is as easy to install as people say, as long as you have good access.
I read several reviews describing the install process but was slightly unclear on how to unclip my exisiting sky Q LNB for this hybrid LNB. In my case I have a mark 3 sky dish and I have just cancelled my sky subscription which I will replace with a freesat box. I chose the hybrid so I can use sky until it runs out but also to future proof it in case I go back to sky. When deciding if you are going to do this yourself, or not, consider how easy it is to access your dish. Ours is low and could be reached with a strech on a short ladder.I looked at the signal strength and through the sky settings menus (signal 90/ quality90) before starting. I powered down the sky box, slid up the weather protector on the LNB and unscrewed the co-ax cables. I took several photos of the LNB, paying attention to the angle it was positioned with relation to the dish and arm. I had to unclip the tiny retainers at the bottom of the LNB in order to slide it off (with some force) and replaced with this new hybrid LNB replicating the angle of the old one. I reconnected to the wideband ports, slid the weather cover down and went up to power the box up. Signal strength remained good at 90/90 and the sky q box worked as normal. I tightened the screw on the LNB bracket and then switched over to freesat, changing the ports to two on the row of 4 (quad). Freesat picked up 122 channels and good quality signal.Simple and straightfoward. I was very worried I would move the dish and lose signal. Whilst the dish did wobble a bit as I took the lnb off it was well fixed and didn't displace with the signal unchanged.

Works very well (needs a little sealant though)
This just worked flawlessly out of the box. Good strong high quality signal from all outputs; no stuttering or picture breakup at all. There’s a slight design flaw with the slide-down water shield for the cables; water can run down the body and get inside the sliding shield. I just ran a little SikaFlex EBT+ sealant around the sliding part’s top edge so all should be OK now.

Has a rain shield. Works well.
5 minute install on an existing mk4 sky dish.It doesn’t show in the pictures but there is a slide-down weather shield thing which is what I was looking for. I don’t know if they all have that but I’m glad this one does.

Does not fit MK3 dish but...
I ordered this without research as I needed an LNB next day as I was replacing my old Sky Plus HD with a Freesat 4k recordable. I wanted to take advantage of the Wide Band 4 x recording whilst also retaining the Sky Plus for the extra fta channels so this hybrid was perfect.Unfortunately, I have an old MK3 lnb push in dish not the newer MK4 clip on lnb dish. Luckily, I have a large 90cm old motorised dish with a 40mm collar, I was using that for Sky as I never get interruption in bad rain.I removed that old lnb, and just swapped in the new hybrid LNB, removing the new bracket. A quick angle tinker and got perfect full strength signal and quality. So far so good.

Quick(ish) guide for first timers to do it yourself!!
Hiya, I did a tonne of research when leaving sky Q and obviously ran into the lnb compatibility issues but here's my story...I wasnt going to get an installer out to sort the change of lnb as I expected it would be an unnecessary cost and it definitely was! With no previous experience I borrowed a ladder to reach the dish and got my dad to hold it. I went up the ladder equipped with a screw driver but the whole process was soo easy. I popped out the plastic peg and eyed up the angle that the new lnb would have to be, unscrewed the coax cables and pulled of the old lnb. I then slid the new one on with a tiny bit of force (due to the tiny teeth either side) and made sure that the lnb was angled the same way (twisted it in its holder). Finalky I screwed back in the coax cables but into two of the silver ones and NOT the gold ones (for sky Q). And bingo, first time and it had a strong signal and found all channels. Honestly only took about four minutes to swap out and it couldn't have been easier.I really hope this review helps others fix their own lnbs as it is incredibly easy and no experience is needed whatsoever! I snapped the old plastic peg to take the old lnb off easier and I used the screwdriver to then pop it out from the underside..Good luck!
