You ask for a hundred animals you get somewhere around that number. A good book for toddlers learning to speak ,where they get to see animals how they actually look like instead of drawn representations. The book is sorted in categories of pets ,wild animals, farm etc. Still you see a repetition or two.

I had received this book as a gift for my 6 month old. Since when she started sitting, I used to show her the pictures and talk about each animal. Within a month, when I tell an animal name, she could turn to the right page, show the animal and also make the sound ! Initially, I thought real life pictures might not be attractive - but my child loved this book more than her cartoon animals . This book let me talk to my baby about animals, sounds, habitats and their food.

Amazing animal book with real pictures of animals. Each page has 7-8 pictures. And each page gives animals of a different type or area like pet animals farm animals wild animals Australian African n polar animals. It would keep my 1.5 year child glued to it. ( I read out the animal names to him for quite a number of times n then he could recognise the animal whose name was called out to him.) good buy. And enhances good animal GK of children even babies.

My son is quite possibly obsessed with this book! He is a year old and just starting to learn animal names and noises. This book works very much like a set of flash cards and he enjoys pointing to the animals and telling us what they are. I also like that the pictures Re photographs, rather than illustrations - I think it makes it easier for him to recognise them. A very good first book of animals. Oh, and it's pretty indestructible, too!

Easy and fun way to teach names of animals. Can be used for bilingual family, too, as toddlers don't read. My little one loves to make the imitative call of each animal and even mimic their movements.
