Have been using my desktop all in one for almost a decade. It has gotten so bogged down and took so long to do every little thing, even though I am great at keeping it cleaned up and in tiptop shape. Need this pc for remote work now and I thought there’d be no way. Bought this memory, which is exactly what was already in it, and bam, working like a champ. $10 fix instead of $hundreds for new computer!!!

Unlike DDR4, there's really not a lot to say about DDR3. Either it works or it doesn't. Use Memtest86+ to test DDR2 and DDR3. Version 5.31b is the "latest" version. It hasn't been updated in a LONG time, but that's OK because DDR2/DDR3 is fairly old RAM. Run 2 passes for an initial test. Most all RAM with any problems will fail that 2 pass test (2nd pass is longer/more thorough then the 1st). Then later, run an overnight or at least 6 hour test.The RAM DIMMs I greatly prefer for DDR2 or DDR3 is either Samsung OR Hynix/SKHynix. Of course, whenever possible, use matched RAM. Unmatched RAM can work, but is more of a crapshoot. Never mix RAM of different ranks = never mix single rank RAM with dual rank (etc.) RAM.

The memory card arrived quickly in protected packaging which was nice. I'm using it in an older laptop - Sony Vaio VPCF123FX operating Windows 10 (64-bit) Pro. The card was easy to install and my laptop immediately and automatically recognized and used it. I was slightly nervous about compatibility after researching RAM online but my other memory card is exactly the same as this one except for its country of origin and compatibility hasn't been an issue. I ran a Basic Memory Diagnostics check in Windows 10 which found no errors with the memory. I can't wait to try it out with gaming.(Also, this memory works for dual channel mode.)

No complaints. It works properly, was recognized immediately, and gives me a bit more RAM in a machine that can't take more than 16GB. At this point, I'm up to an odd-sounding 14GB, which is a supported configuration in this machine due to nonpaired modules. Thinkpads are picky about their RAM, and this is exactly correct.

Amazon's assistant verifying that I was ordering the correct memory worked exactly as intended. Installation was a bit trickier that I've experienced on other computing machines, but I'm more inclined to fault the people who engineered my laptop than Samsung. The added memory is what I really needed. Generally a good experience.

Purchased this to pair with an identical unit already in my laptop. I've read AMD processors can be picky about RAM so I figured it would be best to keep everything consistent. Popped in, works perfectly. Did not come in retail packaging but was nicely packaged in an anti-static bag and appeared to be new. The only difference between this and the one originally in the computer is the country of origin - the original was from Korea, the new one from the Philippines. Makes no difference to me. Shipping was very fast. Highly recommended seller and product.
