Beautiful sound
I purchased the Bose 600 sound because I had recently purchased a Tv with Dolby Atmos.I have other Bose speakers including the Bose Tv soundbar in the bedroom. The sound is excellent especially when playing Dolby Atmos content. The bass is good enough for my small living room not window shaking but good enough not to buy the subwoofer.I did buy the surround speakers which makes music sound beautiful especially playing Amazon music in Dolby Atmos or even 5.1.This is an excellent soundbar for movies and music..plus you can add to it.The app is ok had no problems so far and set up was easy.Worth the money you get what you pay for. It’s Bose.

Clear voice
Bought this as Bose are generally pretty good at sound systems. It's better than the LG oled tv speakers that it was bought to replace, I have not managed to get alexa to work on it with voice activation so dont think this is very good but maybe my setup, but you should note that any alexa systems that are made by amazon won't have all the functionality of say an echo smart speaker, so don't buy instead of an amazon device does not bother me as I have echo devices throught the house already. Sound wise it lacks bass, and to be honest I was a little disappointed when I heard it first, the surround sound effects were not great despite being true dolby atmos which is rare in this price bracket as most are simulated effects. However we tend to have the volume quite quiet so less than 20% if you turn it up the thing changes completly and gets much much better and you can appreciate the dolby atmos and the quality of the sound bar. It's still lacks bass but this can be added by purchasing the base module for about the same price again, which brings the system cost closer to the higher end sound bars that have better bass so bear this in mind if really good bass is important for you. It looks good, feels well made and not too tall to block the lower part of screen from the TV which is mounted on its stand not the wall. The TV is 65 inch and the sound bar size fits well, not too short and not too long. However I would not buy this one if your TV is bigger than 65 inch as I think it would look too short. One point I don't like about it is the cable placement, they are at a 45 degree angle I to the back, which is good, but the power and the Hdmi are at opposite ends and both at 45 deg so the two cables head out in different directions. This looks untidy for me I wanted to combine the cables with a wrap to make the setup look neater as its visible. If you wall mount this will probably not be such an issue as the cables will be hidden. Knocked a star off because of alexa a bit disappointing and the cables routing.

The strings you can feel
The Bose sound bar 600 is one of best purchase I had as value for money. Exceptional sound quality and liberty to set bass and treble and others as of your mood. Very easy to set up through Bose app. Remote is sensitive and smart. I could feel a real immersive experience while listening music or seeing a movie. With this small size the performance is outstanding

Bose
This soundbar is amazing, ok so it’s not fully packed with bass. But it has enough bass to enjoy. Especially enjoyed watching dune using it.The Bose soundbar 600 is. Stunning piece of kit, going to add the Bose base unit as well to add a more punchy bass. But I would recommend this soundbar (if you don’t want to spend more on the 900 which also looks nice) I like the compact look of the 600. Of course I’m no expert. So not going to try and sound like an audio expert.

Disappointing.
PROS:1) Looks2) Decent, but not earth-shattering sound3) Build quality4) Expandability5) Available on monthly instalmentsCONS:1) HDMI stopped working after 3 hours of TV and 24 hours.2) PRICE3) Bass is inconsistent4) Low wattage maximum volume5) BOSE never post their acoustic performance statsI bought this BOSE SoundBar 500 to replace an Aldi bought soundbar which gave up the ghost after 3 years, good service. Bose are a world famous sound brand, but with this, I believe, like Apple, they’re resting on past glories. The sound across most aspects is good, but not what I’d expect for a £500 purchase. It wasn’t that much beyond the Aldi Envivo it replaced, which came with a Subwoofer. Considering the Aldi one cost £40, it outperforms this on value for money. However, the Bose does look flashier and the build quality is exactly what you’d expect for a soundbar in this price range. The attraction for me was that I could ship this under the Kamp Kommandant’s radar for unauthorised purchases by buying on a monthly amazon plan. £500 going out of the account in one go gets noticed £99.99 going out is less easy to detect! I’m not encouraging anyone to deceive their other halves, but it is a consideration.I have no doubt that the Bose will last at least the 3 years that the Aldi one did, by which time I hope to have added the appropriate subwoofer. We don’t really watch a lot of TV in truth. On average it’s about 5 hours a week, but when we do, we like to be able to hear what the actors are saying. Our Samsung telly might as well have plastic cups and taught string for speakers, they’re that bad! So buying this Bose is part of the idea to buy something decent when possible. Our biggest gripe is, like other purchasers, the HDMI ARC cable packed up after only a total of 3 hours watching in 24hours. I daren’t send it back because my wife would have a fit after paying so much for it. So now it’s connected via the Optical Cable. Additionally, the bass is inconsistent. It sometimes has good depth, but others is non-existent. The remote is cr*p compared to the remote I got with my Aldi £40 soundbar.Would I recommend this? Yes, with conditions. If you (unlike me) want to have Alexa built in, and are going to expand it immediately or close to purchase then yes. I’d also not let Bose off with the poor performance on the HDMI ARC connection either. The sound separation is very good however, with the virtual surround working pretty well, in fairness. If I was you, I’d pop along to a retailer and try the SB500 out against rivals, then come back and buy off Amazon!
