Important Tool!!
This is my second time ordering this tray. I even bought one for a coworker. We are hospice nurse who are required to count narcotics at every patient visit. It reassures families with children and pets there will not be a dropped pill. It empties directly into the pill bottle when the count is completed. Very important tool for us!!

No Bump!
Always wanted pill counting tray...using the counter, the table, a paper plate, or even the bed...one is apt to lose a pill or two. This one has a nice smooth surface. The two sides that funnel the pills into the bottle is high enough for small and medium size pills. Haven't tried it yet for my large *horse pills* as I call them. Nice bonus...there is no bump or lip when you use the spatula to slide the pills into the chute and the lid to the chute lays flat, no gaps. The chute and opening is large enough for my *horse pills*.I know some reviews felt the one side that faces the body where the lip/edge is lower than the other two sides...is too low. I find that this is a necessary feature to properly use the spatula. If this particular side was as high as the other two, pill counting would become cumbersome by putting one's hand and arm at an unusual angle. Plus one would need to turn the spatula to run along the edge pushing pills out towards the center to continue counting. All in all, I'm pleased to have finally purchased a pill counter and also pleased I chose this brand from Medarchitect. Other brands had a slight lip or bump between the chute and counting surface.

COUNT YOUR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS, SAME DAY !
Do you open an egg carton to be sure there are 12 unbroken eggs? Of course you do!It is of paramount importance to open and count the number of pills that the pharmacy tech handed you, AS SOON AS YOU ARE HOME!I had a script for 180 tier 4 pills...It didn't look right......There were 90 pills! NOT GOOD. But it was quickly fixed.. BUTThen I had another script, same situation. But, since I had some remaining pills of the old script, I didn't discover the error for a few days... There was NO apology! And I was the bad guy! (said i was abusive). So, count your pills with this handy-dandy pill counter!

great separater
helps me load my little weekly boxes of pills since my hands are getting old. Perfect for separating and pushing pills into the boxes. then putting the left overs back in the bottles. I just pour out some pills, push them into the boxes one at a time with the stick, then the left over I slide into the tube portion and close the lid, tilt to pour back into the bottle. I'm very happy with this item

Just like the Pharmacy uses.
Have you ever run short of a month's supply of medication and wondered why. Just maybe you did not get the correct amount of pills from the pharmacy. Well, with this pill counting tray you can quickly and easily count the number of pills on a clean pill surface when you receive your bottle of pills from the drug store. This pill dispensing tray even comes with a little spatula to help you count and move the pills across the flat tray without dropping any pills on the floor. Next, you can slide the pills into a clear dispenser sealable tube with the spatula to easily pour them back into the pill bottle. If the quantity of pills matches what your doctor ordered then there no problem and everybody is happy.

Usable
For sorting and counting lots of pills, the color does help pills stand out (unless one day I come across purple pills, I guess that'd be an issue). Comes in handy when portioning off pills into pill box compartments for the week, though the included spatula is a much too large for pill sorting. Ended up using a small plastic cutlery knife instead. Aside that caveat, the tray itself works fine.

perfect for sorting pills
I fill my husbands pills up once a month and I had a bad reaction to his blood pressure pills. This keeps me from touching them or losing any on the floor. We have dogs and this helps keep them safe as well. I recommend this to anyone who has to deal with lots of medications or someone who is a caregiver responsible for medications.
