Excellent gaming mouse, flawless laser tracking!
The G502 Hero is a good all round gaming mouse which has constantly provided me with 100% precise & reliable tracking. Good non-slip grip, comfortable, nice option to lock/unlock mouse wheel, clicks or free spinning, adjustable weight(s), plenty of cable. I cannot fault this mouse for any PC gaming or everday general desktop use, especially when using Photoshop as the pointer tracking is pixel perfect, this is the 2nd one I've bought. My 1st one lasted me ruffly 3 years before the rubber grip where thumb sits wore a bald spot, the outer rubber cable that exits the mouse rubber cord grip somehow split there about half an inch exposing the inner protective metal braiding, I repaired it with a bit of heat shrink, that said my old G502 Hero still works perfectly in everyway, no button click wear on any buttons, no mouse wheel wear from scrolling/spinng the wheel up & down, flawless tracking, flawless scrolling, still doesn't miss a beat, just put away as a spare for now. I bought a new G502 to go with a new custom built PC, plus it happened to be on offer for £29, which is a really good deal, especially for what it has given me the last 3 years! Windows 10 & 11 will detect it straight away when plugged into any USB socket as a generic plug & play mouse which will work immediately, BUT... to get the most out of the G502 Hero definitely goto the Logitech website, download & install the Logitech G Hub software, this will allow you to customise & configure everything on the mouse, from the DPI, changing light colours, macros, remap mouse buttons & wheel etc, as well as other features, it's not gutsy on the system either & will sit quietly in the background on startup, though go into the G Hub settings & untick "send usage data" & "send error logs". Never had any errors with mouse or software. The only negatives with the G502 Hero I can think of after 3 years of gaming & general family use: Rubber grips & outer sheath on mouse cable could be a bit tougher so its more durable to wear over time. If you're looking to replace an old gaming mouse, this one does it's job & is reliable performance wise!

I Like The "Free" Wheeling Mouse Wheel Once You Get Used To It And The Mouse Feels Very Good
I burn through mouses pretty quickly up to now.. I usually stop off in a CEX or other second hand store and buy them cheap as I tended to suffer pretty bad "Gamer Rage" until I stopped drinking. Many a keyboard and mouse have lost their lives, and their buttons and plastic bits, after being heavily slammed against the desk and then thrown at the wall in many fits of anger at someone being 0.01 seconds faster than I am.. But with age, and a more serene approach to gaming I decided to splash out on a more expensive mouse. I saw the Logitech G G502 HERO High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse and decided I would buy one and try it out. Anyway, I just wanted to say that the thing I love most about this mouse, and I have been using it for around 3-4 weeks now, is that the mouse wheel is free moving.. That is it spins until you stop it.. Rather than trying to locate the little side bar and then move that up and down as required, the free wheeling mouse wheel is really much easier to scroll with, once you get used to it. A bit like a fast forward.. You spin it to the bit you want and then stop it. I did see that some people hated this particular facet of the Logitec Hero, but for me it is rather good. Other than that it is rather well weighted. but there are MORE weights if you want it even heavier, it glides across my mouse mat like a yacht on water. It is easily controllable, has many buttons that you can program, and is great between your fingers. The placement of everything is very, very good. I bought mine for less than 25 quid.. I am not sure I would pay much more, but I am glad I did.

Very good mouse, would recommend.
Absolutely amazing mouse for the price. It is quite a heavy mouse, and it comes with weights that can be put in the bottom if thats what you prefer. I upgraded from a G402 which i had had for 6 years due to it finally starting to show signs of EoL (Double clicking). This mouse has been amazing and shows no signs of giving up after 2 years. It's very responsive and I have never had any issues after 2 years of owning this. The only issue I have with this mouse, or more Logitech in general, is their software is not very good but its honestly manageable.

Great budget mouse option
This is a great mouse at a very competitive price. I'm always chasing the dragon of the classic Logitech G9X, and this is my latest attempt to find a suitable replacement. The mouse feels solid in hand, offers a lot of additional buttons, and adjustable DPI. Everything is plug and play, I was up and running near instantly, and it feels great in the hand. Quite a lightweight mouse on its own, but the included weights can be used to add some heft - a really nice addition for such an affordable piece of kit. The lights are snazzy without being overly gaudy and it looks really slick on the desk. The cable is the one part that gives me cause for concern - it doesn't feel particularly sturdy, and I imagine it will be the first point of failure after heavy use. But for the price, you can't have everything, and everything else about the mouse is top quality.

My second one. Great mouse, useful, comfy and well priced, "pointy bits" make cleaning it annoying
At this point it's this SPECIFIC mouse i look for when my old ones finally wear out. Comfortable, a nice DPI preset system & hold/precision-mode, you can de-click the wheel so it free-spins until stopped (limited use but handy for some "button mash" games that you can rebind keys in, RSi is no joke). the 2 thumb buttons are in good spots, the forward one i don't need much but i'd have liked it to be bigger/rounded (like a thumbnail instead of a \ shaped wedge leaning away from the thumb) or 2-3mm closer in, it's not much but it would help my "stubby thumbs". Overall, great button layout/ergonomics I don't bother with the extra weights though they do exist, the bottom plate has never detached over 8? years of use and has stayed clean inside the entire time. The "pointy bits" in the design do make it a bit harder to keep clean as they love to gather dust/dirt over time, you need a thin scraper or tiny pipe cleaner (interdental brushes do great here) to GENTLY remove any accumulation. I'm on the fence if i prefer them for KNOWING what extra-button my fingers on or if i'd prefer a smoother design (that may or may not make those buttons easier to miss-identify). I'm not fussy enough on this one to mind beyond the cleaning aspect. What eventually gave up on my old one was the mouse-scroll became unresponsive. It still works but only half of the down-scrolls register anymore, it's a sealed-unit so i can't take it apart via screws (the ONE main downside) but given a sale-price and the general age of the long lasting rubberised left-right-side panels i decided to buy a new one instead of wrestle with the old one (it may just be an obscured sensor under the mouse wheel. underside pads are all still there (tho i use a few desk-runners i swap out/wash occasionally as a mousepad). i'll likely remove them soon-ish in the search for some screws i can dissect the old mouse with, if not it'll meet a hammer while i diagnose exactly why the scroll-wheel stopped responding.

Pretty good.
I bought this as a used item but it's been really good. I like the ability to add weights ( included in box ) to the mouse. I have added all the included weights to mine and that feels pretty good to me. I don't use any of the logitech software but it's been working faultlessly with Windows 11. Lots of features, I especially like being able to change the scroll wheel from free-rolling to stepped with a button press. Also the resolution can be changed with a button press. For me, all of the buttons are a little on the light side, but that's only a small detail.

Brilliant
Superb, use extra buttons on the mouse instead of keyboard , easy to program , especially good for FP shooters

Great mouse, too demanding software
Excellent gaming mouse and also excellent for other uses. I would say the downsides are the G logo on. It just looks a bit weird and out of place in some people set ups and really annoyingly the software is just really heavy on your PC. It requires a lot of compute for some reason and if you make it boot on start up then it makes your start up a lot slower it’s fairly lightweight. The RGB isn’t bright but it’s excellent. A kind of just just not nice not super noticeable but you can notice it if that makes sense. It just looks really clean or as compared to my rubbish keyboard RGB it just looks excellent. It’s fairly lightweight and it does come with customisable weights which I just took all of them out of the first 10 seconds, but you know if you want heavy mouse then that’s an option. obviously which you should see from the product page but it is wired I’ve had quite a few people come round and try it and it does fit in most hand sizes really well although if you’re having long gaming sessions with fairly sweaty hands it does get some not very nice goose stuck in really not very nice places, so you might have to clean it a bit if you’re doing that.
