High quality and easy to assemble
Easy to assemble single handed, well manufactured and looks great once finished. It took about 30 minutes to build, no glue required, just a screwdriver and a hammer.

First impressions were the quality of the wood was good but instructions were not great
I had read the reviews of this before and I was slightly put off. However I saw this in a local shop and was impressed with the look and feel of it.First impressions were the quality of the wood was good but instructions were not great. It took me around six hours to build, although that was down to not being fully prepared and a mistake I made in the middle. I have another to build shortly and I expect it to take two to three hours.I got three quarters along the build when I realised that something wasnt right. I checked everything up to that point which matched the diagram. However I realised the carcass must be upside down. I had to take it apart and do it over.I'm sure if the instructions had been better or of there was more markings on the parts this would not happen. Therefore I have taken a star off for this.Note you will need an electric screw driver for this to ensure you get a good solid product. Some people may moan about perceived lack of quality wood used. However I was happy with the look and feel of this. I looked at similar solid oak drawers and they were around 5 tines the price!I am so happy with the final product I am also going to buy the chest of drawers!

Super great product
This took me an hour to put together on my own. Found it super easy, did make one tiny error which after undoing approx six screws and rectifying was obviously rectified lol.Note to anyone assembling to avoid mistake I made. On the front of the chest of drawers are four horizontal pieces of word. Before placing those pieces in the slots check them because one will have two small holes in. That piece needs to go at the bottom with the holes facing inside. The reason for the holes is for you to screw the outer bottom plinth to the front of your drawers. I did not realise this and had to take it apart a little in order to get the correct configuration. No big deal but better to avoid. The instructions were fine, I’m used to Corona furniture and had a baptism of fire with being a flat pack virgin and then having to assemble three large pieces of corona furniture- the first being a beautiful desk with cupboard and drawer one side and four drawers the other side- took thirteen hours and a lot of patience but Corona is wonderful quality for fraction of price. Highly recommend this lovely bedside table. Quality of wood is brilliant and this piece of furniture will stand the test of time unlike more expensive competitors. If putting Corona together for first time all you need to do is get everything out of box and check through the instructions, familiarise yourself with the pieces so that you are sure you know what each piece is. I love this furniture and love putting it together, like giant Lego! Love love love it!!!!

Quite nice but not worth the hassle
I recently had the ‘pleasure’ of assembling this ‘distressing’ product. It looks ok now but the process of putting it together was something of a nightmare. My level of experience as a DIYer is probably slightly less than average and my competency wasn’t the best on the day either. I have assembled many pieces of wooden furniture in the past with far better instructions and thought gone into the assembly process, fitting and drawer operations etc. There’s very little in the way of metal fixings as you usually get with flat packed furniture. This is a major failing of the product in my view. No metal rails for the drawers, or clever joint fastenings. Everything feels really rudimentary and this is obviously a choice of cost saving.I’ve quickly read through an array of product reviews and noted the pros and cons of this item. I don’t agree at all that it’s relatively easy to make and that the instructions are good. I think my criticism is that the instructions leave a fair bit to the imagination as they are not as comprehensive and complete as they ought to be. This is hugely exacerbated by the very poor consideration/finishing of the parts as to how the user will complete the assembly; several reviewers have mentioned missing holes and misalignment of parts, and a great deal of effort is thereby required to carefully force the screws into, what is not exactly the greatest selection of natural pine wood pieces.Assembling the drawers was overly difficult due to having to screw in four wood screws which led to me frequently misaligning the angle of installation. Yeah, I know. User error! I think these kinds of issues can be greatly reduced with more thought given to how the average ‘Joe’ who isn’t a tradesman can complete these jobs. I’ve mentioned the lack of metal fixings like drawer rails/runners - so opening the drawers is going to be a bit clunky to say the least as it’s just wood on wood, lots of friction. The top part of my unit was split but I think that might’ve been as a consequence of being very thin (it split on one of the line things) as well as my not assembling the product in the best manner - I didn’t use a workbench but I did use a hard (but somewhat cushioned) floor to give stability and softening to protect the wood. Looking at other reviews, I think I was somewhat fortunate that everything was present and in good condition at the start. My contention is that Amazon need to rethink the design of this, admittedly attractive and ruddy/rustic bedside cabinet. Yeah, it’s really good value in a sense but it’s clear where all the cost savings are. In a way, I guess it could be said to be more ecologically sensitive as a product as it uses less energy intensive and destructive manufacturing processes - ie, lack of metal parts. But that’s somewhat contentious too if lots of folk are returning their units due to damaged parts and/or difficulty assembling the unit. These days I expect far easier assembly and actually, I have completed a lot of stuff in the past few years I recall so my points may be more valid that I initially recognised. If you like a challenge or you’re pretty good with woodworking and have good ‘put it together’ skills etc, and you don’t mind basic drawer operation, then go for it. My tips would be use a good Yankee/spiral type screwdriver for improved torque, take your time etc. I did have parts left over by the way - just additional dowels (these are not all the same diameter!! Some are looser fitting as a consequence) and 2 little screws that I couldn’t see where they were meant to go (in the instructions and on the product). Also, I had a little bit of mdf backing board left over that didn’t fit the back. Man, this was a helluva hassle as a project and took far longer than it should have done. But it’s ok now. A bit butchered here and there but it’ll do. Your mileage will definitely vary so buyer beware. I would NOT buy this again though that’s for damn sure. (The tissues in the picture were for soaking up my blood and tears… :D )
