Does the outside of the oven gets hot?

I notice that the top of this toaster oven gets really hot is that a normal thing to happen or should I return it back to amazon. I'm very afraid of that

Do you have to turn it over and shake it to get the crumbs out? or is there a door ithat opens on the outside of the bottom of oven?

Thank you for your question, Sara. This model has a pull-out crumb tray that rests on the bottom of the unit, below the heating elements. The tray can easily be removed after opening the door.

Does the tray slide out when the door is opened?

You can pull the tray out manually, but it does not slide out automatically when the door is opened.

Does it chime or otherwise let you know when it is finished toasting?

It does chime, but it is not very loud - an anemic "ding" that I can't hear it in the next room. I use one of those wind up kitchen timers with a fairly loud ring when I need to pay attention to the cook time.+
