Great helmet
The helmet is really good looking and the style is great. I bought this for an autistic young man with seizure disorder. It fit perfectly and he liked it, but the strap closer broke on the first day of wearing it.

Has anyone seen some Village People?
About once a year I work on some project that just clocks me! The problem is that I don't know when it's coming, so I don't use more care. I have resisted wearing a hard hat because I was pretty sure they weren't comfortable. Boy, was I wrong! This thing was so comfortable that I forgot I was wearing it until my kids asked me if I was auditioning for something.Out of the box, there is a ratchet adjustment that is positioned about 180 degrees from where it will end up, as it is more out of the way for shipping in that place. It is labeled well to pull out to adjust, which it does so easily, and locks in place when the knob is pushed in. When you get it right, it is very comfortable, so you will know it's right. The chin strap has a secure latch that will hold it in place if you want it. It will also tuck behind the web adjustment in the back, if you don't need to worry about holding it in place. It is beautiful, too. I have no idea how long I can keep it scratch-free, but the shiny carbon fiber finish looks very modern. I already placed a headlamp on the rim, so I know it will accommodate one. I couldn't be happier about this product and look forward to placing my head in dangerous situations.

ANSI/ISEA Certified / Good Looking and Comfortable
I don't even consider Safety Helmets unless they are ANSI-certified. I ORDERED IT when I saw it had the ANSI and ISEA certifications.I use a safety helmet as a requirement for my job. This helmet is one of the most comfortable I own. It has the typical ratchet for adjusting to a custom fit for my head. There's room between the top of my head and the inner top of the helmet that allows airflow. I like the white color because it reflects Sun/UV more than other colors and keeps my head cooler. Sometimes, I use chin straps, sometimes not. But when I use the strap, it's adjustable for a comfortable fit. This helmet looks like carbon fiber on the exterior and is believable. The inner surface reveals that it is constructed of ABS plastic, which is standard for these helmets. This helmet is light and comfortable. It has ANSI/ISEA certifications. If you need a good safety helmet, this is a good one.

A stylish hard-hat....
Firstly – I like the look of this hard-hat. I'm hoping it protects my head as well as it looks. It's a hard plactic shell that has little give and once adjusted and tightened, fits my head very well with little movement. It sits really high on my head with lots of space between my noggin and the outer shell. I cannot adjust it any lower due to the design of the inner cusioning lining.I'm hoping it will protect my head from any falling debris as I climb high up into a palm tree to cut and saw away dead and dying fronds. The peak is not too large so does not hinder my view while looking upwards. The plastic is ABS, and the hat comes with a number of approved safety certificates. The strap, when tightened, is annoying – even though its made of a soft nylon-like fabric.Overall - I'm glad I have it. It's stylish, fits my head firmly and is designed to protect my head from medium-weight objects falling from above. The only negative is that it looks really tall when on my head,

Sturdy, Light ABS Hard Hat, Problematic Chin Strap
The exterior of the hat has a nifty pattern, but it's just a pattern. The inside shows continuous ABS plastic, as indicated in the materials label on the under side of the brim. The ratchet pulls out to unlock, and pushes in to lock, so it has at least as stable a fit as any other ratchet adjustable hard hat. It's notably lighter than my full-brim hard hat, but I don't know how much of that difference is the basic shape.I like that it comes with a chin strap. However, the chin strap does not have a buckle or chin pad, so I have to adjust it to the widest setting and take my glasses off to don and doff the hat. Then I adjust the strap under my chin and I can wear it comfortably while upright. I don't think I'd like the narrow strap if I spent much time looking up, and the strap was pulling under my chin to retain the hat.I'll wear it without the strap or find a third-party replacement strap with a buckle so I can adjust it once and leave my glasses on. I may also try clip-in muffs, since this hat has a high clearance over the ear.
