I'm an emt, will this protect my hands from bodily fluids in the event my gloves tear? Will putting on gloves be difficult after application?

I am a retired paramedic, and bloodborne pathogens instructor. This will not protect you from infectious fluids anymore than your skin (as long as there are no breaks in it) already does. Remember to cover any open wounds, and always wash your hands after removing gloves. Use a waterless hand sanitizer if no soap and water is immediately available, and wash as soon as possible. If you break gloves frequently, double glove, or go up a size.

Would this work against medical device adhesives?

I use Dexacom and T:slim. Neither would stick well after use of this barrier cream. It was suggested for me due to allergic reactions to those adhesives. I really wish it had worked.

Can this be used as protecting layer around an stoma of a colostomy before putting the bag on it?

From the 3M professional literature, as there are a couple different Cavilon products: Can Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream be used under stoma products? 3M Health Care recommends that Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film is better used under stoma products, as it is clinically proven for use in this area.

Is it 100% petroleum free and can it be used on the face?

i believe it is petroleum. Free because it doesn’t leave a greasy film on my skin, however I use it on the sensitive skin around my ileostomy, I don’t know about using it on your face.
