Incredible training pal, best watch they've made in all senses
Incredible watch, I own the watch5 but this one is the best they've made so far, is very sleek, is wider and color choice is great, has a protection base around the screen, tracks everything, including energy, does more than what i thought and is very appealing finding more things to do with it, battery is great, and audio sounds loud and clear, already love the running coach, test my limits but keep me at a healthy pace, is great value for your money, i couldn't be happier with this watch

Quality Watch & Good Performance!
So far I am very happy with my watch. The UI is more polished and fluid. The battery life is also phenomenal as well!As for the watch itself if isn't bulky or weighty on the arm, it has a low profile, and although I can't speak specifically on durability since I've not had any instances of dropping/bumping things, I do sleep in it every night and have had no issues with scuffs or scratches appearing in the screen. The watchband fits well, however, it might be a tight fit if you are plus size or if you have muscular arms. The material itself is very soft on the skin.I'd say overall it is a great option for most people, especially if your primary goal is to track health related statistics.

This watch is a winner for sure.
This watch has a lot of new stuff!A new bezel and a new way to attach the two bands. A lot more choices for watchfaces, and, many more color choices for background and font. There's a new way of using "tiles" ... instead of having one group of tiles and apps, now we have what you might call folders, with subfolders. You can see each "subfolder's" info at a glance when you're looking at that folder. From what I've seen so far, there are 3 "folders"... which are entitled Health; Fitness; Basic. You can add more "folders" and change its name too. Very versatile. You can put any tile or app in any of these areas of course. I put all the apps I had put on my Watch 7 into this watch's first "folder." I filed up the rest of the "folders" with anything else I needed. The bezel's new look is a little odd (a rounded square surrounds the round watchface). But, it's actually growing on me.There's a new way of putting on the bands, which is even different from the Watch 7. It's a little awkward trying to press the little bar while also getting the latch part to go in, but I succeeded. The new bands make the watch stand up from laying flat. No biggie, but it did make me wonder if the watch could still sit on its little disc charging thing (it did). When charging it, the watch face has more charging info on it.The new band is the same size as the previous version, but, I need to fasten it two holes closer to the end.As for battery, I've used the watch nearly all day. It's at 90%.I give this watch a 10 for sure. I like the look, feel, and all the new features of the Watch 8. Good job!! 👍

Great smart Watch
I really love this smart watch! It does everything I need it to and more. Easy to set up and sinks up to my phone easily. I would have given it 5 stars except the battery life is short. I charge daily and it doesn't last 24 hours. Now that I know that, I charge daily and that's fine with me.

Love my first smart watch. No allergenic nickel
This is my first smart watch. It is also my first watch in many years due to the common nickel allergy. The metal parts on the watch and bands contain no nickel so I don't develop itchy blister rashes. It has so many feature, syncs with your phone and holds a 2+ day charge. I don't know if it is compatible with Apple products. I am an android user. It took me a while to set up and I'm still learning how to use different features. That said, it can be used w basic features in a short time. More can be added as desired. It isn't that difficult to set up but has so many optional apps.

New features, not sure it's worth it. BUYER Beware! Fails its duty in LT 45 days
Sep 15, 2025. The watch has become worse. I will contact Samsung under the warranty.Anytime I get sweaty, the watch stops tracking on the wrist! I'm skinny - BMI 20.2. It's a fitness watch, for God's Sake! One expects it to work when you are sweaty! But no - it stops tracking the heart rate and the oxygen level. This is not at all what one wants in a Fitness tracker!Aug 31, 2025. The watch has developed issues with tracking heart rate.I was walking - spanking pace - and the watch stopped tracking my heart rate. I stopped for a directed measure. It said "put your watch on". I took the watch off and cleaned it, and had same result. I finally rebooted the watch and it worked again. I DID NOT have this problem with the Watch 4.Aug 5th, 2025. Anti-oxidant scan doesn't work right. The scan kept saying low - eat a carrot. Three days of carrots and it is still low. Also, I tried to take another scan and the software kept saying "Put your watch back on." - but the watch WAS on. Too many bugs.Aug 2nd, 2025 My initial review wasn't accepted; I am unsure why.I hemmed and hawed about Watch7 and Watch8. I went for this Watch 8 due to features. I am very disappointed.First, I have many Samsung-branded chargers. I was very disappointed that the Watch8 band would not allow the Watch 8 to work on the flat chargers. I guess you could put a weight on the watch, like 2 lbs (!) to press it down, but I believe Samsung should have designed their Watch8 to be compatible with its supporting chargers. See first pic.Second, this is a 40mm watch. I compare it to the Watch4 and the Watch 7, the only others with which I have familiarity. The Watch8 face measures 40mm, but the display is smaller by 2mm, making it a 38mm display.I cannot at this time comment on durability as I have had it three days. Color is personal choice.Functions. The Watch8 is extraordinarily bloated by location-tracking bloatware. I do not do use email, bixby, wallet, etc. from the watch, but it will not allow me to uninstall these apps. Furthermore, every app tracks your location with precision! I have no idea why outlook would need location, for example. The Watch8 has the same processor as the Watch7. Comparing it with the Watch4, I do not see any difference in performance. I would have expected better. The new Health features are AGE - Advanced Glycation End products. Not sure what the low - adequate - high means, and there isn't a lot of information on the web. It also does the antioxidant index - very low - low - adequate. I tried the recommendation --- eat carrots. My value did not change. Lastly, is vascular load. It is supposed to an indication of lifestyle factors affect on your health. Basically, get sleep, exercise, and good diet. Shrug. The Watch8 is supposed to have a better battery. However, I do not see the Watch8 lasting any longer than my Watch4. I still charge the Watch8 at my noon-ish nap time, and see the Watch 8 is down to 66% at noon, and again down to 66% at night, after having been charged at noon. If I could uninstall some of the not-used apps, it may be better, and maybe not.All in all, after seeing all the additional tracking and inability to turn it off, the questionable value of the new "features", the failure to be compatible with industry and brand standard equipment, I wish I'd gone with the Watch7.
