I honestly expected way better from ResMed.
The Good: I see nothing about this product that I can say is "good".The Bad: This product claims "Leak Minimization: By creating a better seal between the skin and the CPAP mask, the nasal pad may aid in minimizing mask leaks". However, this is the opposite of my experience. The mask failed to seal at all when I used this product as instructed. Where, without this product, my mask seals just fine. (I did not buy this product to improve my seal, but to help with the mark my mask makes on the bridge of my nose.)The Ugly: This part is the really ugly... This product CANNOT BE RETURNED. That's right, ResMed trusts in their own product so little, that they won't even offer a returnless refund, at least, not through Amazon. There is no one to speak to, no form to fill out. If you buy this product, you will likely find that it does not work and that you threw away something like $28 (at least at the time of this review). Conclusion: If you have ever used one of these and found it worked for you, please enlighten the rest of us on the how and why. Otherwise, I can not and do not recommend this product to anyone, for any reason. That said, always follow your doctor's instructions concerning matters of medicine and health.I am not a doctor nor am I qualified to give medical advice to anyone. This review is not medical advice of any kind.

It works but over priced
It is a little big and VERY over priced. Other than that it did help reduce the marks from the mask.

Finally something that is working for me!
I started using a bi-pap machine a few months ago and immediately had a huge red spot on the bridge of my nose that progressed into an open sore. I tried MANY different home solutions (bandaids, tegaderm, moleskin, corn pads, gauze) and nothing created a seal that would last more than a few minutes and nothing helped the wound to heal. I was more than frustrated because I need the machine but the nose pain became unbearable. I hesitated to order the Gecko pad because it seemed rather expensive and the reviews weren't that great. In desperation, I decided to try it anyway...and thankfully, it has worked great for me. My nose is much better and the seal consistently lasts all night. Admittedly, the bridge of my nose is still somewhat red, but not open, and definitely better than before. One trick that works for me is that I keep the pad very clean; I wash it with Dove liquid soap every morning and evening and I keep it in its original plastic tray. This keeps it clean of hair and lint and seems to help it seal well at night. I'm ordering my third one. My first two are still working...the oldest one seems not quite as soft, so I switched to the new one and it's more comfortable. I'm ordering another to have ready if I lose one or it would break. I truly don't think I could use my bi-pap without it. I'm glad to report a success story. Note: the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is that my nose still gets red even with using the pad. But, it's so much better than any other solution I tried and this redness is tolerable. I will continue to use this product.

Great for comfort!
The ResMed brand Gecko gel pads have worked great for me. I've been using the large size since they first came out. And, like anything else, the pad will likely not work for everybody. It took me a couple weeks to figure out the easiest way to keep the gel pad in place while putting my mask on; I simply tilt my head back. With that said, 2-3 times a week it will take a second try to get my mask on with the pad in place. No big deal.My only criticism is the cost. Grossly overpriced like so many CPAP related products. How about a 3-pack at a much lower cost per unit?

Used it once, threw it away.
Pro: It *does* help seal around the nose/cheek. I had no leaks that I typically feel around the eyes.Con:- One of the features is that it reduces redness around the nose/cheeks. Nope - it increased the redness. And it's sticking around a LOT longer than from the effects of just the mask. I cleaned and rinsed it before using.- It is clumsy when applying the gel. You have to struggle to get it aligned, then the mask may (or may not) move it when putting the mask on the face. it results in more apply/remove/apply sessions.- On my first (and only) use, part way through the night the gel pad moved so that it was covering/touching an eye lid. This was very distracting. After trying to move it around, I finally just removed the gel - only to find it had stuck to a thin part of the CPAP mask and ripped the seal. The mask is now has to be replaced. (The part of the mask that ripped off is still stuck to the pad.)It's a good idea, it looks right - but buyer beware. Between the destroyed mask and the increased redness, this is a waste of money (not just in the cost of the pad, but added to the cost of a replacement mask).
